You know even when Pennington was playing for the Jets I never hated him. He's just a class guy that knows he has a job to do for an organization that wanted him. I pray (knock on wood) for his health this coming season and to see what that could bring back to Miami.

The Jets were a made field goal away from being in the AFC Championship game in 05 with Chad leading them at the QB position. They had beaten the Chargers on the road and were about to beat the Steelers also on the road, again, if they had a field goal kicker. So we know Chad has been there and done that. We know he can go into the other teams stadium and not be intimidated. It's just a matter of doing what he does and believing in himself and this offense.

Old Noodle Arm is a really good QB when he stays healthy, that is the only question mark around him is, can he stay healthy for an entire season.

I know many times in the past I would think to myself: Pennington is the starter, but so what, he'll be out with an injury soon enough.

Let's just hope he makes it through the season b/c I don't think any of our other 3 QB's can lead us to a lot of victories right now.

Obviously gives his self confidence a boost when BP goes after him without hesitation, just reinforcing his ongoing belief in the initial investment he made when he drafted him. Ball control, quick decision making, work ethic, stoic character.....all important parts of the proven recipe. Go DOLPHINS

Behind Doug Brien, Chad Pennington is the biggest reason we lost that game. We got a ST TD and a defensive TD and held the steelers to 17 points in regulation. Yet James Chadwick Pennington could not muster anything all day, im sorry 3 points is something I guess. Other then that you may want to educate me as to what Pennington did that categorizes him as did that and done that in the playoffs.

You guys are so fareweather, Pennington was one of the most beloved athletes the Jets have had in recent memory and you guys just crap on him every chance you get.

Not just you and the Fareweathers here but at all the Jets boards as well. It's sad, really...

I'm sorry but losing any game is a team effort, if you're Oline doesn't give you QB time to throw, or make holes for your running back and your wr's don't get open ...

basically I think its really ****ty when any one player is blamed for a loss. Any team should play well enough that it shouldn't have to rely on one kick to win a game...

you got there didnt you? you dont make it almost to the AFC championship game without some type of good quarterback play... unless you have chicago's defense special teams of 2006 which yall werent even comparable to that

no one is blaming him alone but when you get spotted 14 points in an AFC Divisional round and put up 3 and lose by 3 who do you think takes the fall? The damn QB would. Every fan eho has seen their team lose a big game has a scape goat, Pennington is mine for that game. Dont be a hypocrite b/c your the same way

Whether you want to accept it or not he got you into field goal position twice, to bad your kicker sucked. Granted Penny had an off day but he got you close enough where if you had a half way decent kicker you would have went to the championship, so blame Penny if you want, but I bet Favre wont get you even close to hat.

Im not fair weather im just real. Pennington was an average NFL QB for 8 plus years and stole 64 million dollars from the Jets. I have been anti-Pennington since 06. I respect him, he is a great guy but I dont want him as my QB. The only reason Chad looks so good is b/c the history of Jets QB's are so terrible. What has he done to deserve to be endeared in the heart of every Jets fan. He is 2 games over .500 as a acreer starter. He has won 2 playoff games. He has never beaten the Pats at home, he is garbage against good defenses for his entire career. I dont get attached to mediocre players. Im attached to Mariano, Jeter, Bernie, O'Neill, Ewing, Starks, Sprewell, C-Martin. Pennington? lolz

He got us in position for a 42 yarder in a stadium which at the time kickers dreaded kicking in. What a great job by CP if thats all he did all day.

I hope your joking in the last sentence. The two career of Favre and CP are not even comparable. Favre has won countless big games, Pennington has won maybe 2 in his career. Pennington put up 3 points. Thats an attrocious performance. Give Brett Favre a 14 point advantage and its a W every time. Its also a joke that the Pats put up 38 points the next week in the AFCCG
