I normally don't watch espn this early because Skip Bayless is a joke and dodesn't know jack... but I actually agreed with him for the first time ever. He talked about how we LOST the game with our poor play. The other guys blasted the play calling in the second half and questioned why we didn't run or use the wildcat more.

I can't figure it out for the life of me why we try to force the passing game when our recievers are so terrible and our running game is/was number one or two. We hardly ever attempted to even run between the tackles. Better play calling would have helped protect the lead. I'm not saying run three times and punt but passing on every first down is unexcusable

In the 1st half, the Miami running game was unstoppable, and we stopped the New Orleans passing attack.

So in the 2nd half, New Orleans said ok, we're going to run the ball, and make you respect our run game. They were successful because they have a balanced offense.

At the same time, New Orleans went all out to stop our run, replaced DBs with LBs & DEs, and dared us to pass. They stopped our run, which forced us to pass. But we failed in the passing game, because we do NOT have a balanced offense.

The point is, we're currently a one dimensional team. If our running game is stopped, our entire offense is stopped.

The Saint's did stack the line against us and completely committed to stopping the run. They didn't respect our passing game because we have none. The problem is we really don't even need to be successful at passing the ball. We only need real threats at WR so teams will respect it more.

The biggest failure of the second half was that we got away from the zone blitzes that worked spectacularly in the first half. There just wasn't that killer mentality, the coaches got comfortable and ****y. Never a good combination.

At the end of the season Pasq needs to be canned and we need to find a tough, young 3-4 defensive coordinator that won't be afraid to go after offenses. Come to that, David Lee needs to be promoted.

I disagree...whenever you collapse a 23 point llead....the other team BEAT you....now if it were a 7 or 10 point game, and in the last few minutes we lost it,Id say we lost the game, but when an opposing team comes abck from that big of a deficit, they earned it,and we should credit them for their effort...

they made the plays and we didn't that's what it came down to. So, I agree with your statement to an extent. Our coaching staff could of done a better job with the play calling.

Somone said they stacked eight in the box and were playing the run so we started passing... That's exactly the trap we should not have fallen into. The best way to come back from a large deficet is to get the leading team to believe they need to pass the ball. There's a lot more that needs to go right to be succesfull passing the ball and a lot more that can go wrong and can help the other team.

We got away from old fashion pounding the football. we had a 21 point lead and we took the bait in putting the ball in our second year qb's hands and attempting to pass the ball. Our offense is based upon creating succesfull third down situations, which means under 3rd and five.

Everyone questioned if the wildcat can be succesfull when having to come from behind... Nobody ever doubted it couldn't sustain a lead. We went away from it and lost. Sure, it got stopped a few times but why abandon something that got you to where you are in the first place? Because if you stick by what has proven to be succesful in the past and you lose, nobody can ever fault the team for that... Then I would sit here and be saying "we got beat hands down, they out played us".

We stopped runnning the ball in the second half, every team we play stacks the box you talk like that's something new. We put all the pressure on a 2nd year QB and stopped the clock repeatedly to help NO out. Run the friggin ball, even if you get 5 yards after the first two downs you atleast have the option to run or pass and even playaction with 3rd and 5. This helps Henne out and keeps the defenses guessing. This is why we lost, we are a run team that eats up the clock not a passing team. The run sets up the pass.

That's because they didn't watch the game. Surprised one of the guys said that Miami should have used more of the wildcat. Uh, Miami was held to 30 yards on 14 wildcat plays because the Saints kept blitzing corners and getting tackles for 2, 3, 4 yard losses. These were killing Miami drives and why they kept going 3 and out.

Other than one run by Ricky, the Saints did a very good job against the run. Outside of that one run, the Dolphins averaged under 2.4 yards per carry.

I just hate Ted Ginn so much.

Don't hate on Ginn, its not his fault he was picked 20-30 spots ahead of where he should have been. Lay the blame on Mueller and especially Cameron. He's their legacy to their failed year in Miami. Ginn makes it complete. No draft picks left on this team from that draft by the time Ginn is traded this off-season.

Zone blitzes do little to stop the run. And NO made a commitment in the second half to RUN. NO came out to win the game, and running the ball opened up everything for them. Then they hit the TE, who again like previous TE's got CHUNK YARDAGE.
