Anyway, on to more relevant matters...

What a poorly written article and a sideways opinion on this. Did Craig James initiate a lynch mob against Mike Leach? Maybe. Did he use his media position do do such? Definitely. Is Mike Leach in the wrong for sticking a kid in an electrical closet? Absolutely. You don't do that. I don't care who you are. You don't stick a kid with a concussion in an electrical closet. Is Mike Leach a doctor? Far from it. Who is he to decide what the best medicene for this kid is? That's for doctors. What he did was ridiculous and I find it hard to believe that he's in shock over the fact that he was fired.

How are lawyers going to get rich on this one? I guarantee Lach gets NOTHING out of this. NOTHING. NOTHING. Mike Leach is a lawyer himself. Why would Texas Tech put themselves in a position to be sued and LOSE without being certain that this is a fireable offense? If Adam James was late, fine. Send him home. You don't put him in a closet. If Adam James is a brat and entitled, fine. Send him home. Don't put him in a closet. If he has a concussion, fine. Put him in the trainers room. Send him to the player's lounge. Don't put him in a closet. It's inappropriate. What is it about this that you people DO NOT get? C'mon.

There are bratty kids with a sense of entitlement at EVERY program in the country. Some kids are filthy rich and their Dads played football as well. Of course there's a sense of entitlement. Send those punks home. Don't stick them in closets. Good grief. Maybe some of you mised the memo, but this is 2010. This isn't the 1970's. Kids have a voice these days. I'm sorry but they do. It's time to get with it.
 
a voice, perhaps. but sometimes the old fashioned methods are best. it isnt as if the kid was 'damaged' your claim that he 'has a voice' in this case is the problem.

No it isn't. Again, welcome to the PRESENT DAY. It's time to leave 1977. The days of ruling with the iron fist are over. I'm sorry if you dudes refuse to accept that but that's how it is. The fact that Mike Leach put a kid in an effing electrical closet is the problem. If that was your kid you'd make a stink about it too. Concussions are deemed pretty serious these days. If he has a concussion and you don't want him practicing, how hard is it to send him to the training room or the player's lounge? Seriously...
