ESPN breaks down wildcat

The Dolphins have run this formation 16 times in two weeks for an average of 10.4 yards per play. This has resulted in five touchdowns (four rushing, one passing) and two victories. Miami will keep using this formation until someone stops it.

Bottom line. End of story. Can it be stopped? Of course. The value of the formation is not tipping your hand.

And if Miami's offensive players can out-execute the opposing defensive players....it doesn't matter if they know it's coming...

One of the things that's impressed me.....Dare I say....About Dan Henning, whom I was ready to throw to the barracudas a few weeks ago, is that this team is very crisp running the formation. Even when it's busted, Ronnie believes that the hole is going to be there and runs like it. Subsequently, he does very nimble COD moves that can make somthing from nothing.

Curious to see how they employ this formation against a 4 man front though...I think Ricky may see some increased carries....and maybe even a pass from him as well....

If we could avoid him getting killed, it would be nice to get Pennington a pass in this formation, so the D's would have to respect him a little more.

Just like ESPN to miss the entire point of the WC. Look at the formation in the article. They have a TE on both sides, in reality there is two TEs to the left and none to the right. Jake is playing one of the TEs and a TE is playing LT. That is why it is called an unbalanced line. The morons at ESPN totally missed the point. What they are saying is it is nothing more than a direct snap to the RB. DUH!!!!

So Jake is an eligible receiver out of this formation....

Ya know I did see Henne throw him a screen pass in the Michigan/Florida game...lol.

If Pennington was a scramble QB it would work great. Imagine if the falcons would have used this line up with Vick (scary thought)..

I can invision the possibilities, we can run a double reverse to Ginn or perhaps do have Pennington come back around get the hand off and throw to a wide open Ginn/Fasano

BINGO! I'm waiting for it to happen as well.

I am getting a little sick of all the wildcat talk, but its nice to have Dolphins coverage, that isnt discussing how bad we suck (see last year).

Go FINS!
You are not the only one who hates all this wildcat talk, also espn forgets to give the dolphins defense any type of credit for the last two wins.:shakeno:
