ESPN: Cards and Broncos Favorites... FML

It would probably be best if we forgot about manning and moved on. He's not coming here.

So, let me get this straight. Manning has made 2 FA visits, and these clowns are saying the 2 teams he is most likely to sign with are the only 2 he has visited? Well no sh*t sherlock. A retarded baby with a brain injury could have made that connection. Absolutely ridiculous...

I love it. ESPN/NFLN is so kneejerk it's ridiculous. Schefter just said Denver was the favorite, and now Denver and Arizona are the co-favorites. I also don't agree with his speculation that these visits are all sort of random. Someone as bright and calculating as Peyton Manning isn't throwing darts to decide where he'll finish career.

And thats the thing that amazes me. They are constantly wrong. They were wrong about Lebron, Pujols and Fisher among many other stories but the way people hang on every word they say its like they are the bastion of responsible journalism and have never been wrong. You would think that people would realize what ESPN is now. A company based on sensationalism and ratings. But like i said, incarcerated bob still has his followers so i guess i shouldnt be that surprised

This sounds like BS to me. At least let him visit with the Dolphins before you make this report.

Think about the coaching staff. Fox and Whizzenhunt have led their teams to the super bowl in the last 8 years.
Philbin is a rookie head coach...with a great pedigree. At this point in Peyton's career, he doesn't have time to waste. Do not over look this fact. I think it is huge.
i think in peytons case, coach does not matter as much, as long as he can get along with him.

with peyton, he is essentially the coach. for example, look how bad of a coach jim caldwell was. yet, in his first season with peyton manning as qb, if that team wanted to go undefeated in the regular season they would have, but finished 14-2 instead, and went to the superbowl and almost won it.

with peyton, he is the coach basically.

A Denver beat writer just said that Manning is going to make a decision by tomorrow night. If this is accurate, either Miami is going to have a VERY short meeting with Manning or no meeting at all.

My feelings exactly. Manning just met with Elway and Fox(took Carolina to a Super Bowl in 2004), now he is meeting with Bidwell and Whizzenhunt(Took AZ to a Super Bowl on 2009), and on Monday or Tuesday, we roll with Ross, Uncle Fester (sorry, I couldn't help myself), and Ireland. Underwhelming to say the least. I have to admit, the men running our organization are not that impressive professionally or physically as compared to the others.

Ross will have to offer him top coin as QB, and a promise of lucrative business ventures a couple of years from now after his playing days are over.

Ireland will have to set his ego aside, and not feel threatened by a man of greater stature. He will also have to cut and adjust the roster to get Manning's guys signed.

Philbin will have to agree to modify any plans he and Sherman have about the offense and install the Manning style of offense.

Physically, really?

Sometimes what's posted here, scares me to death.

How could he possibly know this? Did Peyton call him up and reveal this info or is he most likely basing it on rumors?

I'm sure the Angels fans were worried too.

He's not even sure, he used the keyword, if.

Good point. I hope you are right. The Colts really hit bottom without Manning. The staff forgot how to coach. Their fall was shocking.

And a Phoenix beat writer said Manning was recently seen eating an ice cream cone in the police station while he waits for Archie to come pick him up.

Can't believe a beat writer now can you?
