ESPN: Cards and Broncos Favorites... FML

I'm not paying attention to any of this until Manning comes back to Miami. Denver and Phoenix beat writers are clutching at straws, and the national media is purely speculating because there is an information blackout in Dolphinsland. No info from the Dolphins doesn't mean that they're out.

+100 no news is good news

u got a lot of hope in a 36 year old who'll probally miss all of traing camp with a new team and a new system.

And you've got a lot of hope in Matt Moore apparently.

Have you watched the Colts over the past 14 seasons with Peyton Manning?

Peyton Manning IS the system.

It is disappointing that Manning is not coming here, heck not even visiting. But how can Ross pitch the Dolphins to Manning if he never even walks in the door?

Preaching upon deaf ears my friend. If the don't get that by now, they never will.

No one knows anything so why not just let it play out? Must we knee jerk and overreact to evert single tweet and article that comes out from people that know as much as we do?

From NFL.com 2:03 PM

"
NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported the quarterback is set to return to Miami on Sunday following his visits with the Broncos and Cardinals, and could meet soon with the Dolphins, according to league sources. As the field narrows among the suitors for Manning, other teams -- beyond the Broncos, Cardinals and Dolphins -- are still relatively in the dark about the process and are uncertain they will get a meeting, league sources told La Canfora."

or in other words, "NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora has nothing new to report..."

A Denver beat writer just said that Manning is going to make a decision by tomorrow night. If this is accurate, either Miami is going to have a VERY short meeting with Manning or no meeting at all.
nubs i wouldnt hold anything thats coming from a denver writer to close to the heart. we've heard rumors from he is looking at real estate in denver to manning wont leave denver without signing. theres a lot of self promotion going on in the media over the manning frenzy right now. a lot of unknown characters getting their names out there. i would bet about 90% of the rumors we are hearing are fiction.

if this were to be true then i would assume that there is some friction between philbin and the front office.and ireland and ross i would also assume dont want that with their newly hired coach.

maybe philbin has a plan and intends to stick to it.time always tells the truth though.

Excuse preparations initiated. A good GM gets his player. Period. At this point it seems more like their solution is "hey, um, Manning, um, if you get the chance to stop by sometime next week, it's cool. If, you know, you have the chance and stuff. No biggie."

I can see it already. We go into next season with Matt Backup Moore starting and a ton of excuses on here as to why that is.

The Denver beat writers often make Armando/Omar look like pure geniuses. They have no idea as to when Peyton is going to make a decision. It was just like when I heard the NFL Network's Michelle Beisner, saying Manning really had a great meeting with the Broncos, and very impressed with them. She used to be a Bronco's cheerleader so she is slightly biased. So is Adam Shefter who was the Bronco's beat writer for the Denver Post.
