Matt (Boston): What are the odds that Jason Taylor could get traded to the pats?

sn2-1.gif
Matt Williamson: (12:13 PM ET ) Traded within the division? Not buying into that. Supposedly Miami is hot and heavy for C Pace-which could mean the door for Taylor.

Jeff (Macon, GA): Hey Matt, What about the Dolphins and Smiley? Good pick-up? And will they get Pace?

sn2-1.gif
Matt Williamson: (12:31 PM ET ) Sounds like that they will land Pace for big money. Good fit in their 3-4. I really liked the Smiley pickup as well. I bet they would have prefered F Adams, but Smiley was an underrated free agent who people were not talking around for some reason.

TL (Sacramento): Dolphins should take Matt Ryan as their number one pick. Do you think that it a good fit for the Dolphins?

sn2-1.gif
Matt Williamson: (12:34 PM ET ) I like the pick of Ryan. Also would not critisize them for taking J Long. Their OL would be elite with Long, Smiley, Carey, Satele.

Chris (DC): Hey Matt...any chance Miami could grab Rogers-Cromartie in the 2nd rd? Is his stock to high now?

sn2-1.gif
Matt Williamson: (12:42 PM ET ) Seems likes a longshot. DRC has rare athletic ability and his stock is through the roof right now. Doubt it, but there should be a pretty good prospect at CB in that pick. Or Flacco or Henne...

sal ( boston ) : just reported that miami had swaped 6th rd picks with dallas and giving them miami's 6th next year for jason ferguson. what can he do to help miami now at the age of 33 if anything do you like the trade.

sn2-1.gif
Matt Williamson: (12:44 PM ET ) That isn't much to give up! Great pickup for Miami considering the price. They need a NT to run that D. Most important position and throwing a rook in there isn't fair to the rest of the defenders. Stop gap guy, but a good one at that.

Nick (Detroit): Does the Ferguson deal officially eliminate Dorsey at #1 to Miami?

sn2-1.gif
Matt Williamson: (12:48 PM ET ) He isnt a 3-4 guy anyways. I think it is Ryan or J Long.

Addison (Louisville ): Dont you think that Miami needs to go WR in round 1? They have no playmakers in that position.

sn2-1.gif
Matt Williamson: (12:50 PM ET ) They sure do not have playmakers at WR, but there isn't a draft pick worth that selection. Maybe round 2.

we dont have any WR besides Ginn so why u gettin upset?

This might be the worst question ever asked regarding the #1 pick

I think he was upset because the guy was basically saying we should use the #1 overall pick on a WR.

Not upset but it was just such a stupid question. Its's no like there is a Calvin Johnson available.

on that behalf most definitely stupid question

I agree it was the dumbest question I have seen.

i think the kid who got into that chat was just super stoked to be in there that he crapped his pants and out popped a question

Maybe he meant the Dolphins should trade down and then use a later 1st rounder on a WR.

2 points after those comments.
1.WR. Ginn may well be our playmaker next season. Hes shown to have very good hands in Rookie season and has top WR speed in NFL.

2. Why just Ryan and Jake Long? Ryan isnt the 100% real deal and Jake Long isnt as good at pass protecting as his running game is which says to me he may not be worthy of the No1 pick. I expect the No1 pick to have virtually no weaknesses.

"what's your favorite color" would have been a better question...

I do like this quote though

Also would not critisize them for taking J Long. Their OL would be elite with Long, Smiley, Carey, Satele.

I hope we can doop Atlanta out of swaping first with us and picking up there later second for the #1 over all and still pick up J. Long.

I guess Long (Who is thoughtof as a R-tackle) will make our O-line elite like can't miss prospect Robert Gallery was going to do for the Raiders a while back.

If the powers that be after working Beck, still feel he will not become the real deal, then Ryan is a very good posibility, but Jake at #1 overall, is very dangerous.

It's also possible that Jake Long could be another Joe Thomas.
