ESPN has an interesting coach’s poll that has been rating coaches by "fan approval".

I am not amazed that Saban has a respectable 91%; what does amaze me is that there are 8 coaches ahead of him.



Looking at the weekly fluctuations, it shows just how "emotional" fans can be. I talk to friends who are fans of our division rivals, and they really fear us in the near future because of Saban.

I'm not amazed at the other 8 coaches. They all have winning records. You'd have to go down 4-5 spots to find a coach with a winning record.

Our division rivals will fear us even more if we had a good QB and secondary. Adding Leinart, Archuleta, and some other pieces could really make this team one to be reckoned with.
 
I did not realize that was even going on weekly. I will say though, that after that win yesterday and the relentless play yesterday, that rating shoud spike above the rest...IMO

I think 91% is pretty good compared to the other coaches. I'm surprised Dungy isn't number 1 though.

Well he only had 55% rating the week we played the Browns, that really brings down the ratings overall. Too bad we don't have fans that are patient.

Yeah, but those 8 have the talent to be there and are not in the 1st year of purging dead weight.
 
only one that surprises me might be Fox... but the others are definately worthy.

That is emotional voting...I hope those folks don't discipline their children that way...LOL

True. But give us the players I had suggested earlier and we'll have the talent also. We really only need to fill a QB, CB, and possibly S depth.

I agree with you...then, and maybe then Saban will get that 95% rating...:D

I think it is lame that Belichik is as low as he is. He is doing another masterful job IMO especially with all the adversity they are facing...I'm NOT complaining though!

If they can pull off a miracle and draft Leinart who might turn out to be the next Palmer, I'll bet him and Mueller would get a 100% rating.

Haha, if Pats fans want to oust Belichick, fine by me. He can become our new Defensive Coordinator. :D
