In 575 snaps over 11 games in that period, Cousins has thrown 16 interceptions and lost four fumbles. In other words, he has committed a turnover about once every 29 snaps, or 3.4 percent of his plays. According to ESPN Stats & Information, that's the worst rate among 46 quarterbacks with at least 500 snaps during that span.

The details are in the chart. Cousins has paid for more mistakes than the lampooned Matt Schaub, Christian Ponder and Jay Cutler, among others.

As the backup to a struggling starter, Cousins naturally has evoked hope and excitement. That sentiment also was built on an intriguing but brief three-game appearance as a rookie in 2012. But the longer he has played, the more he has exposed himself as a backup-level player whose biggest flaw is what coaches hate most: giving the ball to the other team.

Our secondary should have a field day with the pressure our d line will bring

No matter what you think of RG3, Gruden is doomed, and RG3 was absolutely his best hope. I wasn't a fan of him coming out, and I've never been a fan of him, but if you fix his problems, there's NFL talent at the end of the tunnel. Cousins should have similar career to Matt Moore - though he may never win as many games as Moore did.

I juat thought it was funny i saw this right after i saw the redskins troll amped up like the skins season was now saved...lol

How can gruden say that cousins is the winner and he knew it all along when rg3 clearly took all the first team reps throughout otas, mini camp and TC?

Bc Dan Synder is forcing him to play RG3.

But like its been said, RG3 is at least talented Cousins is inaccurate with no mobility. Redskins are gonna turn to McCoy quickly maybe in week 1 after a route

Going through Cousins throws from last year. Any downfield pass takes forever to get to its receiver.

The Redskins ruined RG3 and it seems to me he played his ass off for them. Looking forward to the given sunday we kick their ass.

I know this is common sense, but Cousins is really efficient when he has little to no pressure. He folds like a lawn chair under pressure. I think he struggles against us and it is nice to not have to worry about the QB running as much.

Other than Trent Williams, I've read that allegedly the skins OL is a mess.

Week 1 should be very interesting.

I agree. based on the falcons game, we should be able to apply a lot of pressure, thus forcing to's.

Cousins will come out week 1 and put on a impressive performance...he will throw 3 TD passes, complete around 70 percent of his passes and throw for 350 yards...BOOK IT!!!

This guy. ....

If you're going to troll, at least do it properly. Poor showing on your part.
