In 07 most of the responsibility of the owners goes away and they can basically do what they want, when they want to who they want. Offer massive contracts or the pay of a teacher to the players. They might not have to take it, but for the non essential players such as the scout team, third stringers and project players that might not have anywhere else to go they would have to. I dont know why the players havent been coming out and telling Upshaw to make a deal. This whole situation hurts them tremendously.

It will really hurt the guys on the bottom end who only spend a few years in the league. And those players might be calling for Upshaw to make a deal, but odds are we will never hear about it. The players in the union know there is no benefit to making their internal squabbles public knowledge.

The bigger problem has to do with owners revenue sharing and I believe there is something with the stadium debt and i cant really remember what that has to do with it, i just know its a huge part. Upshaw keeps talking about the 56-60% thing because it makes the rich billionaire owners look extremely greedy. Its a tactic just like when the owners said the CBA was close to a deal a few days ago to put pressure on the players to actually make a deal.

The Dolphins would probably be a middle of the pack player as far spending goes...can`t see him spending as much as Jerry Jones, Kraft, Paul Allen. Wayne`s got deep pockets, but how deep will he reach?
