This may not be "Miami Dolphins" related, but it's certainly some interesting news coming out of New York. From ESPN Insider....

2. Kellen Clemens, Jets QB. It looks like Eric Mangini and Co. have found their Brady. I know that Clemens was highly regarded out of Oregon, but who would have guessed he might have the best chance of all the QBs picked ahead of him -- Vince Young, Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler -- to be a starter come opening day? Not only that, but that he'd steal the buzz in camp from two guys who have 61 combined starts? I'm not saying Clemens will beat out Chad Pennington and Patrick Ramsey, but he'll have a good chance to.
---------------------------------

Any thoughts???....

I had a very strong feeling that Pennington wouldn't be ready to start again, and that Ramsey was going to take over this year for the Jets. I never saw this coming regarding QB K. Clemens however. The word out on him is that's he looked wonderful while running the Jets offense during the mini's, and has the edge over both Pennington / Ramsey right now....

From what I hear, he's not only looking better, but actually even starting to seperate himself from the other two in terms of production. What do you think QB K. Clemens chances are of starting over both Pennington / Ramsey this season??....

PHINZ RULE!!!

So because he might beat out two ****ty QB's he is their Tom Brady :sidelol:

Let him play on the field before they say he has done anything....I bet a lot of guys look good in practice

While that's certainly true, there are a number of NFL personnel people who love this guy and compare his intangibles to Brady. Let's hope he's not the steal that a lot of people think he will be.

Personally, I think Clemons has a chance to be great. He has an injury history, but when healthy, look out. My only hope is that he falls into the same curse as other talented young QB's do in Jetsland..

Clemens is not really a surprise. He rose rapidly in the draft boards as soon as scouts had a chance to look him over.I remember our draft gurus were very high on him.

IMO he is the QB of the future for the Jets.

Do writers realize how dumb they look when they try to make a relation between someone how has never started a game and a two time Super Bowl MVP, three time Super Bowl winning quarterback?

I believe that Clemens is the real thing but I would be surprised if he was named the starter over Pennington or Ramsey (this year). This is a brutal division for a rookie QB to start against the likes of the Dolphins or NE starting defensive backs. IMO, unless Chad gets back to form soon, he will be a solid second behind Ramsey until next year

if they could afford the luxury of time their o-line will be a good spot to develope behind, it will get better with experiance.
