Givens meets with Dolphins
<Mar. 12> After erroneous reports had Givens signing with both the Browns and Patriots, the receiver made his first actual visit of the free agency period Saturday in Miami. The Miami Herald reports that no contract terms were discussed with Givens, who is believed to be seeking between $5 million and $7 million in guaranteed money. Givens was scheduled to travel to Houston on Sunday to meet with the Texans. The Houston Chronicle reported in Sunday's editions that Givens had cancelled that trip and agreed to re-sign with the Patriots. However, the Boston Globe cites Givens' agent as saying that report was in error and the Givens will, indeed, visit Houston.
