Law too costly for Miami
<Feb. 23> As expected, the Jets and Law parted ways this week, largely due to the $11 million option bonus Law was due March 3. The five-time Pro Bowl player says he wants to play for a contender and has identified Miami has an appealing destination. However, the odds are against Law winding up in a Dolphins uniform, the Palm Beach Post reports.
After playing for the discounted price of $2.5 million after foot surgery, the 32-year-old is looking for his final big payday in guaranteed money.
"I'd say around $10 million," Law said.
The Dolphins likely will balk at giving a big contract to an aging cornerback who at one point last season had nearly twice as many pass interference penalties (nine) as interceptions (five).
Meanwhile, the Chiefs and new coach Herm Edwards are expected to show interest, the Kansas City Star reports. The team will have to clear some cap space and is expected to approach several players about restructuring their contracts.

we want KC to take Madison in a trade so we can get a 4th or 3rd for him, they must not get Law

No idea why there is still a love affair with this guy. Ever since the new rules of being hands off and the cracking down on the physical CB's have come in to play all these guys like Law do is get PI's or get burned because they do not have pure recovery speed at the later stages of their career.

I doubt we will get him. Law is last years news for us.
what about Madison? I hear they want to reunite Madison and Surtain

If he could 10 int's with us it would be an improvement over what we've had the last few years.

:spit: :spit: :lolcry: :lolcry: :njfin: !0 million? For a 32 year old CB?

I'd give him 10 million total for 3-4 years. About what Howard was earning except this time the money goes towards a real CB. Basically salary-wise a swap of Howard for Law. If Law doesn't want it, tough.

It will be a big risk for the Chiefs to tie up that much money in 2 aging CB's in Surtain and Law.

I just can't see them doing it. I do see Law going to the highest bidder at this point in time which I am sorry to say, I believe it is not us.

It could be, heck, i'm just speculating but I doub't we have that much cap room to sign Law and a QB which Law would want before he came here.

I think Law will sign with us if we are close to matching the highest bidder and Saban sweet talks him a bit with his future plans. That is if Saban even wants Law.
