This article is amazing. I love near the end how he points out how Saban would handle T.O. This article just gets me pumped about this season.

Advantage Miami

The signing of Culpepper could shift the balance of power in the AFC East.

Even though I still believe it's premature to say Culpepper will be ready by the start of training camp, I know this is an absolute steal for the Miami Dolphins and a great present for offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey. Culpepper is a proven talent in the NFL and brings an explosiveness to the quarterback position that hasn't been seen in Miami since the retirement of Dan Marino.
His signing is a direct shot across the bow of the New England Patriots, as the Dolphins now have an offense that can score consistently after years of being a one-dimensional team. The Dolphins were competitive last season in the AFC East, but the offense wasn't good enough to win games, and they fell short. That was because they didn't have a quarterback they could rely upon to make plays. That's not the case anymore, and now the Dolphins have the talent on both sides of the ball to overtake the Patriots.
It's amazing to me that the situation in Minnesota got to the point where Culpepper could be had for a mere second-round pick. Last season he would've gotten the Vikings a first-round pick and probably more, but due to his injury and the situation between him and the organization deteriorating so much, the Dolphins were able to get him on the cheap.
I don't believe Culpepper's feelings toward the Vikings are indicative of an athlete who is a whiner. He felt the Vikings handled him poorly and didn't feel they were up front and honest with him, so he acted out. It may not have been the most professional way to deal with things, but I don't believe he'll do the same thing in Miami. In a way, going to Miami is the perfect move for him because they have explosive players, a great ownership and is an organization that treats its players like family. It's also perfect because Culpepper is from Florida, went to school at Central Florida and also trains there. He's going to be very comfortable in Miami, and that's going to translate on the field.
As controversial as it may sound, the Dolphins' next step should be to sign wide receiver Terrell Owens. A lineup with Owens and Chris Chambers at receiver, Randy McMichael at tight end, Ronnie Brown at running back and Culpepper at quarterback would be extraordinarily difficult to defend. They would have the type of offensive balance that wins championships, especially when it's coupled with the Dolphins' typically stout defense. Coach Mularkey is an innovative coordinator, and I'm sure he would salivate at the opportunity to coach that type of talent. He's going to craft a gameplan that takes full advantage of the Dolphins' talent with or without Owens, but I'm sure he would kill for the chance to throw Owens into that mix.
Owens would fit in well with the Dolphins, because coach Nick Saban is not going to take the crap that other coaches have allowed Owens in the past few seasons. We wouldn't hear Owens spouting off in interviews, because Saban firmly believes in team chemistry and isn't going to let anyone believe for very long that he is more special than any other player. Saban is going to nip any problems in the bud and won't let them linger.
Also, Miami would be a perfect place for Owens because it is such a veteran-laden team with an already established leadership in place that knows how to handle fellow players. These players work hard throughout the season, and Owens wouldn't be able to say he outworks everyone else and that's why he should be able to say what he wants. He would have no excuses and might get back to just playing football and keeping his mouth shut.

Nick needs to tell TO to forget the Denver Donkeys and the 'Boys....go to South Beach and win a SB for Nick.

I can't belive salsbury actually wrote this. That said, TO would be poison in a locker room with Culpepper..two too strong personalities. daunte and Moss ended up deteriorating,a nd TO is much worse than Moss in the locker room, throw McMike into the mix and you got a lot of football pasiion, but a giant snowball looking down at the edge of a cliff if things start going bad..

Or we could just draft the next "Baby TO". Also from Central Florida. Of course, that would take a second round pick. DOH!

Great article, but I am not buying the Owens sales pitch one bit. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

TO is for the suckers.

We can get another WR that will help us out with no drama.

I dont know if we need a TO although I would love to have him. But I feel like chambers can be one of the top 5 WR's in the league now that he FINALLY has a Quarterback throwing him the ball instead of a bunch of clowns. Lets bring in a Super Bowl!

We are looking very strong if Saban feels he can contain these guys in the lockeroom then keep bringing in the talent and yes I don't believe Salsbury wrote this either!

well..sorry to just be the sore green thumb..but i would welcome T.O..i mean..het..dont u want that possible palyoff appearence..for Zach, and Jason..I mean come on!!!.. it would really b a different situation.he knows we're on the rise, and is a hard workin team, with the same type of blue collar caoch..so what do we have to lose?

We still have our 2006 2nd round pick, it's the 2007 pick that we traded.

Forget Owens, as much as I would like to have him also there just not enough balls to go around. Draft a reciever and let Chambers and Booker groom him. Meanwhile there are plenty of guys that are cheap that could play the #3 & #4 WR. The chemistry that was created with the run at the end last season is something we want to build on, not risk losing on a guy who has been unsuccessful at meshing with other people. Now by all means, T.O. deserved to complain after the mishap in S.F. with his old agent not filing in time, and the Baltimore situation was a joke. He should have been able to choose where he wanted to go. As for Philly, in my opinion, he did fine until McNabb said they could win the Super Bowl without him. If I was rehabbing my a$$ off to try to recover and play weeks before anyone should recover from a broken leg, and had to sign multiple waivers just to play in the game, I would have been a little miffed also. The way he handled it though is what raises concern, the second he isn't happy he is gonna run his mouth. Given the controversy that has surrounded this team just with the Ricky Williams saga, I'm not too sure I am in a hurry to bring that type of player around. He is one of the best WR to ever play the game, but he is aging. I personally just think we are better of using the type of money that T.O. would command elsewhere, in other positions of need.
Just my opinion though.

T O is a cancer you are right about that but he would be incredibly stupid to open his mouth now, the past year has humbled him.

Nick would own TO at every opportunity.

Culpepper, Chambers, and TO. Just think of the possibilities...

You mean the possibilities of the entire team hating each other and tanking the season?

Dont see it. They are all about winning and with TO the talent would be in place. Everything is always great when you are winning, if with all that talent they are losing, the team deserves to implode.

I hate Slaisbury, he's the biggest hypocirte of all time. Remember last year when he said this team will not win 5 games? It doesn't mean much to me that a 3rd string quarterback who is missing half of his brain, picks us to be good.
