Apparently ESPN put the pats and panthers in the "ultimate superbowl"

You can vote on it at Espn nfl section.I'm disgusted that they still think pats are the best AFC team.

I bet if Tom Brady goes down they would still think there the best.

the Patriots are still the team to beat in the AFC East. And don't forget they were destroyed with injuries last year and still got to the second round of the playoffs. They have a very solid team, and still have Brady and BB. There is no reason why they can't go back to the Super Bowl.

thats bull $#!% the patsies are NOT going to the super bowl, i dought they'll even make the playoffs.

I think your homerisms are blinding you.

The Pats are still a very strong team even though I think they took a step back this off-season for the present time but took a step forward with there future!

I agree that Brady will put up solid numbers but to say that they are the best after losing all those players.God I hope they finish last in our division this year.

I'm going to be the voice of reason here, and represent the happy medium between the school of fans who hate the Patriots with a fiery passion, (we all do...),and say "They suck, they won't win, etc.... and the school of fans who say they are still the "best" and they still have Brady and Belichick and whatnot.

New England is still a very good team. They are capable of winning the AFC East and making an appearance in the AFC Championship.

It will be between the Dolphins and Patriots for the AFC East Title this year.

However, the Patriots are NOT...I repeat N-O-T the same team that was fielded during their dynasty a few years ago.

They have lost some serious integral cogs to those teams that won 12, 13, 14 games a year.
You know the list. I don't have to name names.

Also, a lot of people site the return of Rodney Harrison as a huge reason they will return to form.
Harrison is coming off of a very serious injury at a position that requires a lot of cutting, reading and reacting.
He will be an effective player coming back, but I don't think he'll be the absolutely dominant force he was two years ago.

Yes, the Patriots will be good. But for ESPN to just jolt them into the Superbowl, JUST because they are the Patriots, disrespecting the defending champ Steelers, disregarding Carson Palmer's return, ignoring the Colts, who obliterated the Patriots last year, and then to not even put our Dolphins in the PLAYOFFS AT ALL is a little ridiculous if you ask me.

Good post Devil.

I think this division will be deided by a game or by tie breaking scenarios. What it will come down to is who can avoid being swept by the other and who controls the division and takes care of the teams they should beat. (Bills and Jets.)

Mark my words fellas, we can not afford to lose to either of those teams and if we do, I think it may cost us the playoffs. The difference in this orginaztion should make sure that doesn't happen however. Saban will make sure this team doesn't take any one lightly ala the openeing day loss to Houston in 2003.

My final word. I don't think the Pats return to the Super Bowl but I do think they are one of 6 or 7 teams in the AFC that has a shot. It really is wide open at this point and I think the Dolphins, Patriots, Steelers, Bengals, Colts, Cheifs and Broncos all have a shot at the big game.

Couldn't agree more.

I'm suprised a player his age can comeback from an injury like that.
