Hes just saying that so he doesnt look like a quiter.... No team is going to want his sorry cry baby butt. He dug his own grave by doing this.
 
What I thought I actually heard was that he wants to play football again
but doesn't think he can do it in Miami, and is likely out for the year.
 
Cut this fool and bring incognito back for the rest of the season.
 
Cut him, agree to pay all guaranteed moneys if he's willing to end this stupid crap.
 
the really sad thing is, this whole circus which could have easily been avoided is being caused by an absolutely awful football player. to say he is sh*t is being way too kind.
 
Think that was abundantly clear when the entire locker room backed Richie. Martin will play in 1 of 2 spots:

SF - where he'll be coddled by Harbaugh
IND - where he'll be coddled by Luck

Even there, it's debatable.
 
So be feels the situation in Miami was unbearable?
I wonder how Michael Egnew survived in that environment.
Martin is just not a guy with inner strength.
I actually defended him last yr and was one of the people who wanted to let Jake Long walk. Primarily because of a belief in Martin.
 
Honestly I bet he wants to be closer to Mommy & Daddy. He couldn't hack being away from them for so long, same reason he stayed in Cali to go to Stanford rather then go to Harvard.
 
Let him shop his services around...he will need to find someone willing to give up a pick this off season. The team shouldnt suffer because he quit.
