INDIANAPOLIS -- If Peyton Manning becomes a free agent in March, which is the expectation, there will be a bevy of teams interested in his services -- assuming he's healthy. But Manning's free agency will ultimately come down to the short list of teams he's most interested in.

A source tells Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that the Dolphins are one of those teams. Manning reportedly owns property in Miami and his family wouldn't mind living in that area. That would make for an easy transition.

It also doesn't hurt that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has deep pockets and wants to make a splash. Money won't be an issue. Miami has made it no secret that the team is looking to upgrade at quarterback.

From pft:
The talk about the Miami Dolphins as the landing spot for Peyton Manning is not going away.
We’ve already heard that the Dolphins are interested in Manning if he becomes available, and now comes word from Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel, citing an unnamed NFL source, that Miami is on the short list of places Manning would like to play. Manning will almost certainly become a free agent before March 8 because the Colts will decline to pay him a $28 million bonus due that day.
Manning and his wife own a place in Miami, and they’d reportedly like to live there. From a football perspective, it makes a lot of sense: The Dolphins are a team that could win immediately with an upgrade at quarterback. On defense and special teams Miami was solid last season.
Perhaps the best news for Manning is that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has insisted the team will get better at quarterback and that he’ll pay whatever it takes.

Walker seems decent, but this seems like a hack blog post. Nothing new. Everyone knows he has property and that Ross is loaded. Pure speculation IMO.

It's Omar Kelly, nothing to see here folks...move along

what other teams are on his list? like anyone really knows what his list looks like besides his wife and she aint talking

The media is really running with this. If its not known if hes completely healthy until this summer it seems they may not be able to walk away from Flyn. A lot of things have to happen with this.

Time for Ross to ride the heli/jet to Indy, put on full court press for Peyton, and fall flat on his face.

I love when I hear the term "deep pockets" when it comes to signing players. There is a salary cap to deal with as well.

the public clearly hates miami. they dont like all this manning to miami talk. even amongst so called dolphin fans. now he is a stop gap. that is just so wrong on so many levels. who the F cares. F'n peyton manning.

Get Peyton here at all cost. He will be released soon. All cost!

I'm tired of all these older injured qb's that we keep reaching for. Even if Peyton is healthy, and that's a big "IF" were still not going to know until closer to when the season starts and that's taking a big chance. Best case scenario he's healthy and we get 2 to 3 good years from him instead of building towards the future were going to end up right back where we are now in a couple of years. The only good I really see in getting him is that it would put butts in the seat but if they think Flynn is the real deal or RG3 could be the future than I'd much rather go those routes.
