Peyton Manning's camp is aiming to make a decision on where he will play next season within the next week, according to sources, who add that while Manning prefers to stay in the AFC, he is open to playing in the NFC.

Sources say 12 teams reached out to Peyton Manning's representatives on Wednesday after, he was released, to gauge his interest in playing for their teams. Many of the teams already have been publicized, but some inevitably will want to keep it secret.
Of those 12 teams, sources tell ESPN that the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos and New York Jets have actually been in contact with Manning's representatives.
The Indianapolis Colts officially released Manning on Wednesday and he will become a free agent and be eligible to negotiate and sign with teams as soon as he clears waivers Thursday. The 14-year veteran does not need to wait until the free-agent period that begins next Tuesday, and he acknowledged his agent already was taking calls.

i hope this is true about his afc preference. i know a team in florida that is real close to his home ,that is interested in his services.

Everything i have read says it will be a quick decision Manning had a very aggressive and strict off season program and he is eager to resume it with hisnew receivers

I think Miami has a real good shot of landing Peyton, but I can't lie, KC would look real tempting to me as well. Easier division, youth and talent on both sides of the ball, awesome fans, AFC . . . the only knock is it can get cold in the winter.

Of course he's going to say that to keep all options open and to get teams to bid against each other to increase his price value.

I hear ya brother, we need to be proactive, we have the advantage he is already in Miami, hell if I'm Ross & Ireland I dont even let him leave the city of Miami, contact his agent and get him in for a full physical and throwing session, then work out a contract.

But we have just as much talent or even more, plus we have better weather, we beat the piss out of KC last year in KC and that was with Matt Moore!

Imagine that KC team with Peyton Manning with all those studs who were on IR for them in a much easier AFC West. Matt Cassell is not a great QB.

Don't get me wrong, Miami is the best fit for him, but KC is a close 2nd.
