For those without insider, it ranks 1-64 running backs in the league here's what they said about ronnie who is ranked #19...

Superpower -- Brown is an extremely talented player who can contribute on first and second down. He is a tough, strong inside runner who has the ability to wear down defenses. He has an excellent combination of athleticism and size around which new head coach Tony Sparano can build his offensive system.
Kryptonite -- Injuries. Brown started the first seven games of the season last year before landing on injured reserve with a knee injury. He has never played a full 16-game season in his short career and has yet to prove he can carry a consistent load. Brown is more natural running behind a fullback and doesn't have much value as a receiver out of the backfield at this point in his career.

I didn't even care about the poor ranking numbers, as they are always so subjective, but the last part on Brown shows me they know nothing about what they report on...

We ripped this thing apart already, but I agree with you 100%. ESPN thinks it's OK to mail it in when it comes to the Phins because we had a bad season last year, but there's a problem with this approach: IT'S YOUR ****ING JOB TO RESEARCH WHAT YOU REPORT. This sort of 'reporting' is extremely inexcusable.

I have to agree with you on this one. Ronnie was leading the team in receptions (39) prior to his injury and despite missing the second half of the season still finished 2nd on the team in that category.

I noticed that too.....Ronnie has great hands without a doubt! Don't worry about what beat reporters have to say about the Phins. Soon enough Miami will rise again and prove them all wrong.

Oh my bad, didn't see it posted. Sorry guys. Yeah i found it funny more than anything, the best receiving back in the nfl last year and thats their comment. He had more recieving yards in 7 games than most did all season. Oh well , mods you can close this

That is the worst piece of journalism I have seen in a long time.

Will we ever get a media source that's willing to do even the slightest bit of research before they make predictions? I doubt it. Everything we read this time of year, especially by the national media about Miami is based on last years record...nothing else. How hard is it to look on your own company's website to see where a player's strengths and weaknesses are before you predict their upcoming season? For anyone not lazy..not hard at all. But for some reason most in the national media can't seem to do the work involved in printing a fair and reasonable evaluation based on simple facts.

I think syndicates of the majore media outlets tell their reporters to do something controversial where possible. Sometimes even nonsense, just to get the online reactions that they generate. All they care about is traffic, which makes sense so they can charge the advertisers more the next year. Which is ironic, because if your mad at what your reading, your not going to think positively about the ads on the page either.

The hilarious (and maddening) thing to me is that they will use injuries as an excuse for any other team (such as the Rams), but the only reason for our bad season is that we suck. I picked up Lindy's Pro Football preview and they didn't have Ronnie anywhere in the top 20 RBs. Apparently, we are all just delusional.

lol and he was leading the league in total yards...

If I am not mistaken Ronnie brown's recieving abilty was one of the reasons his stock rose prior to 2005 nfl draft. Prior to his injury, his recieving abilty was one of his best assets. I can understand reportors not giving the Dolphins any respect for the upcoming season, but this just bad journalism!

cant wait for the season to begin-
but last year wasnt he leading the league in yardage when he got injured-
i remember he had some sick games-

Not only that, he was still leading the team in receptions AND recieving yards until week 12 or 13... When was he injured, week 7?

he was one of the top receiving backs all year and he did it in less than half the time...

he had 39 receptions and almost 400 yards in less than 7 games.... Westbrook had 90 for 771 yards. Bush had 73 for 417, LT had 60 for 765 ALL YEAR !!!!
