Whittock from page 2 on espn says the packers should free Farve and trade or release him to a contender. He mentioned Miami specificly.

Can you imagine Favre breaking Marino's records in a Dolphin uniform, and possibly even winning a SB here.... Man, that would probably just eat Marino up inside..

that would suck for him but how would you feel if Nick and Brett are shaking hands while nick raises the Lambardy trophy

Favre is done. He's at the point where he knows what to do, but his body cant do it anymore.

Yeah that would suck for Marino. He may take it as a slap in the face if Farve was brought into Miami and he broke his TD pass record while with Miami. IT would add insult to injury if he were to win a SB.
That being said, I think Favre's days as a good QB are over and I would be very surprised to see him playing anywhere next season. If he plays, it will almost certainly be back in GB, IMO.

Actually its the opposite

His body still has a few years left, his problems this year were all in his head 'Can I carry this team?' 'Do I want to play' 'Do I want the ball'

Thats not a good thing but it happens when your his age playing on a crappy team, I think if he was on a team he liked playing for he could do well

Personally I think Farvre will retire after this year. However, he only becomes a dolphin if he's released. Trading for Brett would be a bad ideal, because right now draft picks are essential for this team to continue rebuilding. Plus you can be sure it wouldn't be cheap, it would require somehwere bewteen the first three rounds. Also with Sabans penchant for not drafting picks, it makes it seem less likely. Especially for a qb who could retire who knows when.

On a side note, if the Packers release him or try to trade him then he will retire for sure.

If that rumer comes to pass, and so does Brett, we should be legitimate contenders if this draft is as successful as last years.

thanks for telling us what espn thinks but living up here in wisconsin....everyone knows he is done and will retire....

for me, it seems that Favre wanna leave GB. But he's afraid of being seen as the "bad guy", so he's doing what he can to see if they release/cut/trade him so he can play for a contender at the end of his career, being the "guy who was let go" not the "traitor who left the franchise"

na he will retire....after the last game last season as he left the feild the reports seen him crying walking threw the tunnel....im pretty sure that means he is done.

The only way we pick up Brett Favre is if he moves to safety.
