ESPN Power Rankings Week 7 - No Respect for Fins

We don't get respect because we haven't earned it yet, once we starting winning games on a consistent basis then we will earn respect.

We got smashed at home by division rivals (yes the Jets game was close, but the way we lost looked really bad)...The overall perception is that we are not that good. Let's win some games and our rankings should rise.

Right now, our QB has a problem with getting this team in the endzone (see our scoring average), our run game is average, and our special teams are on life support albeit now showing some signs of life.

Dolphins are right were they deserve to be. Get the job done and beat Pittsburgh in your home stadium and the Phins will get the respect they deserve. Until then you really cannot justify complaining how the Dolphins deserve to be higher.

I don't know if this is really accurate, I think the Steelers are playing better ball than we are @ this point in the season. If you guys beat Pitt it will go a long way in making your case to be seen as a contender
theismans rankings r exactly how mine would be. not just being bias or anything.

i stated before, and i will state again, the only teams that i think can be ahead of the fins now without an argument until proven otherwise r the jets, steelers, ravens, pats, and colts. all other teams, i would love for ppl to tell me why they r necessarily better than the fins.

this years league though their is no dominate team.

i also love pat kirwans ranking of the bears 25. ive said it all along and i will say it again. the bears ****in suck. dont look at their 4-2 record. they blow.

last thing, i feel ppl r underestimating the packers alittle. i know they maybe a tad banged up, but they r getting back everyone aside from finley and barnett, and grant who was gone since week 1.

their passing attack, although it would help to have a good running game also, is good enough to survive without a big back and brandon jackson can do just fine imo.

their defense has lots of play-makers on it, and they r getting back clay Matthews this week, and Atari bigby possibly also this week and if not then soon enough, and AL Harris has yet to play a game also and will be coming back.

that is like acquiring 2 good defensive players who have not contributed yet.

fin fans on here want to say they r not impressed BC we barely beat a banged up packers team, but that team that we played in GB Sunday is still better than lots of teams in the NFL.

nfl.com rankings r fair, espn blows.

disagree. aside from the jets, steelers, ravens, colts, and pats, i think the fins can be anywhere after that and i think 16 is way to low. i believe the fins should be anywhere from 6-13 and that's not being a homer. aside from the pats game 2nd half, we have played good football. we don't really have any major weaknesses.

The biggest disrespect is the giants at #11. That's ****ing bull**** man they're better than some of the scrub teams they got in the top 10

i agree, the giants should be ahead of houston, new orleans, and atlanta so far. i cant put them ahead of tennessee now bc as much as i think the giants r better, they both r 4-2 but tenn did beat the giants in the meadowlands.

i think eagles and giants, id give the nod to the eagles bc they both have the same record, but i feel they have overcome more injuries so far and have played well with them.

i think the biggest bs is that the bears and skins r ahead of the fish. i dont even want to get into my opinion on the bears.

p.s, u a giant fan, or just like eli manning?

If it were up to me, the Fins would be ranked like 29th. Motivation is better than having a good power ranking.

I'm sure the Dolphins have a HUGE meeting each and every Tuesday about where they are on ESPN's Power Rankings.

Arguably one of the toughest schedules to date, in the toughest conference, in the toughest division, 3-0 on the road, and Miami is the third worst team above .500.

To be honest I prefer when my teams are underdogs, it gives them an edge and something to prove. These rankings mean nothing and long may we be underrated.
