No reason not to put us there really. Hopefully Philbin can get this team going. There's always a few teams that surprise.

28th? Seems a bit drastic.

You are forgetting we are picking 8th already and we probably got weaker since the end of the season.

Now if we get a #1 receiver in the draft then we should move up on their list post draft.

I don't know... We've lost our best skilled player (Marshall - although I don't think it was a bad or wrong move on Ireland's part.

We're making major changes to both our offensive and defensive schemes. Because of this, we have questions about where some players will fit into these new schemes. (Misi, Burnett, Soliai, MMoore/Garrard).

We've lost/cut some players from last year that have not been replaced yet: BMarshall, JT, Bell, Langford

We have some young and coming players, but will they develop: Clay, Gates, Murtha, Jerry, Clemons, Jones, Merling. Each of these guys are expected to either contribute or take starting spots.

We have some players that are starters that we needed to or need to upgrade. These are still questions. MMoore, Fasano, Hartline (#2 WR), #2 TE

If you look at the projected starting players right now, #1 WR, #2 TE, QB, FS, SS, MLB, SOLB, LDE, RT and RG can't be looked at as "settled"...

28th sounds right to me...

That is the most frustrating part about this team, the team is not devoid of talent. I remember early in Manning stakes, several media saw Miami as the best fit.

i agree with the statement about once promising team gutted.

yes 28 maybe a bit to down on the list, but this team despite its 6-10 finish, they seemed like they had something going the final 8-9 games of the season with the offense starting to look a bit better, and the defense playing well.

even in games we lost to more talented teams such as the giants, cowboys, patriots the 2nd time, we easily could have won all 3 games. we were a team no one wanted to play.

obviously those games were not pressure games because we were out of the playoff hunt, but it seemed like if we had kept everything in tact, and maybe added a piece or 2 ( yes even with moore as qb for this year, with our schedule the way it looks as of now, we could have been a contender, maybe not superbowl contender, but deff playoff contender) and we just traded our best wr, also our best offensive weapon leaving us without any passing threat, we cut bell, langfords gone, but the big one imo is still trading away the talent in marshall for nothing in return.

hopefully our defense reaches elite status and we can make some noise.

Geez...philbin won't make a lick of difference hugh...I feel people are completely dismissing the fact we changed coaches? I mean if we were "underachieving" and we went 11-5,7-9,7-9 how are we that much worse now. We won 11 games with camarillo as our number 1..7 with Marshall back to back.give the guy a chance geez

28th? Seems a bit drastic.

We were 6-10 last year and we inarguably got worse in the off season. What the hell are you honestly talking about? Point blank, this team has no talent that scares anybody.... At all.

Gutted? They lost Marshall and who?

Marshall is a huge loss but rankings before the draft are about as meaningless as it gets.

Even during the season they don't mean anything this isn't college.

The only ranking that counts right now is the draft order.

I think I'm stating the obvious in saying that anybody who we draft will be completely unproven and can't be realistically expected to make a big impact next season. Clearly there are cases where rookies play extremely well and win games for teams, but it doesn't happen often, and it hasn't happened for us since.... Christ, Marino.

This ****ing team just can't draft.
