ESPN Predictions: Herm and Merril say Manning to Miami

That's what they are saying. Team docs can watch him throw but can't tape it. On the fisher point you misunderstand me. What I'm saying is do you think Jeff Fisher would have left Miami if he thought he had a chance to coach Peyton? IMO Manning to Miami does not seem as clear cut as their making it out to be. Ps ESPN loves to magnify The Dolphins mistakes just saying.

Team Doctors are the only ones who can watch him throw until March 13 when Free Agency begins. That prevents the Colts from seeing him throw before they have to decide to pay him the 28 mil bonus or cut him.

You people love predictions when they fall in line with what you want to hear and hate them when they don't. And what's worse is you've learned nothing from past predictions...like Harbaugh to Miami, Fisher to Miami, etc.

Dude I tried to decipher the CBA regarding Manning's situation and the bylaws, ha! It is true that no team can watch him while he is on the Colts roster but what I couldn't figure out is whether or not teams could watch him after he was cut. The way the CBA reads it is nearly impossible without a law degree to decipher. lol.

**** it, I'll wait till March 8th to see what happens, my guess is once he is unemployed there is nothing stopping him from working out for the media and then nothing to stop all the teams from watching ESPN. I know that aspect wasn't covered in the CBA.

The more I hear it, the more I really don't like the idea. I think it will ultimately set us back a decade. I mean, we are essentially buying Dan Marino's last couple of years. Oh, but coming off an injury we're not sure he can recover from. Then we're right back to looking for a franchise qb. But also, we'll need to start replacing guys like Long, Bell, Marshall, Bush, Davis, etc, either to age, injury or free agency.
I'd muchh prefer a young, healthy option that still has the bulk of his career in front of him. Need only to look at Favre and McNabb to see where this is going.

By Favre do you mean the QB that was one play away from the Super Bowl with Minnesota and would have been there except he was a

turnover machine as he had been ALL of his career and playing against Peyton ??? We sure wouldn't want that as Miami has been to so many Super Bowls in the last thousand years .

You are correct. Manning and his agent were pretty smart to have the bonus date as March 8th. This forces Irsay to make the decision 5 days before the new league year, the 13th, which is when teams will have access to their current players under contract. After he is released and is a FA, I believe he is free to negotiate and work out for teams the same way the Chiefs were able to work out a deal with Stanford Routt.

Ok. March 13. Imo I Still don't believe that we are the favorites. I'll take the wait and see approach. Other than that by all means keep the bidding going for RG3.
