Was a little misleading this morning in reporting that Gus Frerotte was named the starter of the Miami Dolphins. They made it sound as if he had WON the starting job...when all that actually happened was he was named the starter for the next PRESEASON game. If I weren't at work...I'd call and yell at them! :fire:

Actually, he HAS won the job, he just has a short leash. Think of this as being the same place we were at last season heading into the Tennessee opener, except we're about 3 weeks ahead of the game. Last season it took the entire preseason for Jay Fiedler to win a short leash hold on the starter's job. This season it only took 2 of 5 preseason games for Frerotte to do the same...
 
Gus hasn't officially been named the starter but it is just a matter of time...Feeley has looked terrible, and Sage and Brock are backups....Saban
might as well make it official now.

Lets just hope that whoever wins the starting job doesn't get pulled after the first half against Denver :rofl3:
