Read the entire article above. To recap:

Consecutive sellouts: 77 | Season-ticket waiting list: None

28. Dolphins

The Dolphins might have the most alluring fans in the league. You won't see any sweatshirts or parkas around Miami Dolphins Stadium. Chances are pretty decent there will be bikinis and midriffs showing off tanned bodies. Problem is, the fans are supposed to enjoy watching what's on the field, not each other. A six-season playoff drought has led to rows of empty orange seats. The visiting crowd has been louder at times.

Warning: Prolonged losing can wear on a team's fans. Look what it did to these Dolphins fans in '07.

In terms of nationwide, Miami is one of the biggest fanbases around. Winning changes everything.

If you count clothing and merchandise sales, both at home and abroad, the Fins have a HUGE fan base.

The Fins have a decent following overseas as far as NFL teams are concerned.

We have alot of fans, we just dont have alot of rabid fans. That will change if we start winning though. Miami is a bandwagon city unfortunately.

I'm looking forward to our next home game vs. SD. It is always more fun when we are coming off a win, and moreso now with a win against the patsies.

Cyall in 2 weeks:)

I am so TIRED of this old and weak argument. When you consider that more than 70% of the population is transplanted from somewhere else, is it a suprise? Fans dont change their loyalties just because they move to Florida. Considering that we make up such a small % of the available bodies locally I think the fact we have sold out 77 straight games is a credit and makes us amoung the BEST fans. This argument is flawed and always has been. South Florida just does not have the long term population as other major cities. In fact I think its mandatory that all obnoxious NY and NE fans move to Florida when they turn 55. Geez. Get real.

when we played in the orange bowl.this was never a problem.it was a very nasty place to play.it was hot as hell, and the players where so close you could spit on them.the place shook so bad it felt like a massive earth quake.we had a big edge there a long time ago.I STILL HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH HOW FAR AWAY THE PLAYERS ARE FROM THE 1ST ROW OF SEATS.ITS NOT AN INTIMIDATING PLACE TO PLAY NOW.

With yesterday's win, you have to think the attendance at the Chargers game in two weeks will be up. Hopefully there will be less orange seats and we can get that home field advantage back.

If you notice, the majority of the top half are cold weather teams, the bottom half mostly warm weather teams. In the late fall and winter, football is the only thing in town in Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Philly, etc. When you live in San Diego, Miami, Jacksonville, etc. there are a hell of alot of other things to do besides being a football fan. Fans in these cities don't live and die by football.

It was great to see the what ESPN claims are the #8 rated fans abandoning their team in droves early in the 4th quarter - that's a memory that will stick for quite a long time.

i agree at the game you see more of the other teams fans there then our thats pretty bad

why do fan bases matter.. they drastically change each year.. the team with the best record has the biggest fan base.. every team has the same number of serious fans.. most fans are just ppl who kno very little about football and just like telling their friends they are fans of the best team in the nfl..
