Espn recap

Exactly, Flynryan15. Fasano was running toward the sideline either doing a crossing route or a down and out and had to turn back to try and make the catch instead of having the ball thrown in front of him to lead him.

First string was really 7-0. And taking field position into consideration, I don't think our backup D really stood a chance. The Fasano drop was garbage, and the Falcons are pretty much the same team that did happen to go 13-3 last year. That one Henne interception still worries me, but I'm glad they kept him in the game and drove right up the field and got that TD to Hartline. Also remember, Marshall and Bush didn't play so.....It wasn't a complete disaster like everybody's making it out to be. It was nice to see Henne actually take some chances though.

its fasanos job to catch the ball, and if the ball hits you in the numbers, you better catch it.

Watch the replay the ball was thrown late on the route, behind Fassano and to hard.

Give me a break! he didn't shift his pads more than 10-15 degrees to make that catch, he didnt have to turn ALL the way around. And no it wasn't late. Fasano was just getting his head around as the ball was released. Once Fasano made slight separation, the ball was released. As a professional receiver in the nfl, you HAVE to make that catch (and yea i know Fasano is a TE, but he is "receiving" the ball). If he puts the ball in front, the DB over the top could have made a play to knock it down or taken Fasano's head off. No other QB in the NFL would be criticized for this throw.. It's just because it's Henne. And for the record, I wanted to replace Henne this year, so don't come at me like I have a crush on him.

The only thing you got right was Fassano should have knocked the ball down. It was a bad pass!

Geesus christ, get off the Henne hate. He is our starter unless Matt Moore proves himself otherwise! Be supportive of our starter!

What difference does it make? Last night was just a microcosm of Henne's play. More picks than TDs - just like usual - 2::1 last night and 19::15 last season. Not trying to be a Henne hater but you don't need to be an NFL scout to see that Matt Moore looked a little more natural out there. They're both backups but Moore is a better backup who should be starting for us given that we don't have a legit starter.

Not so sure about that - this regime hasn't been supportive of him at all. I wouldn't be surprised to see Matt Moore getting 1st team reps this week in practice and starting against CAR next weekend. Then if Moore plays well with Marshall/Bush at his disposal, that will be the end of Henne starting - at least until Moore gets hurt later in the regular season - that's what I'm guessing will happen.

Okay, that sucked! All they talked about was Julio Jones and Henne's interceptions. They did not show anything from Moore or Livas' punt return TD...that really sucked for those of us who weren't able to see the game on tv. Screw Herm Edwards!

In a block format program I really don't think they should waste time on irrelevant second stringers.

No, pretty sure I was 100% right. I watched the game and played the replay a number of times... Fasano didn't have to turn all the way around to catch the ball. He ended up turning all the way around as the ball was bouncing off his hands. He turned to try and gain possession of the ball. If you think that is wrong and that it was a bad throw then you have no business evaluating a football game. It's not opinion, it's fact and not debatable.
