ESPN to Buy NFLN

Hopefully this means more free NFL games on Sunday afternoons?

Honestly if I had to guess it will be part of there new ESPN flagship streaming service. It also is supposed to include ESPN+ which is like 11.99 a month now, so the new service will probably be between 20-30 and month.

ESPN++. Even better than ESPN+, which was so much better than ESPN.

It's gotten pretty crazy with the streaming services.

So the Dallas Cowboys will be running the Redzone. It will be nonstop talk about the Dallas cowboys. That's the type of TV ESPN does. Just get rid of all the other crap and run non stop Dallas Cowboys infotainment.

Also the NFL Network draft coverage is far better. Give me Rich and DJ over the guys at ESPN.
Agreed on that, although I've never seen anything all that "political" on ESPN, just coverage that's not as competent as the NFL Network's.

So this will be the last year of that superior draft coverage, hmmmm?

This seems like an odd business pairing, considering the NFL owns the NFLN. It’s a revenue source that is ported directly into the NFLPA collective bargaining agreement. Meaning it’s a driver for salary cap, and in turn players salaries. If the NFL sold the channel, it’s like they are betting against themselves. It doesn’t make sense but you never know in business.

I subscribe to NFL+ Premium because it's the only (decent) way for me to see every Miami game at my convenience, plus any other games I'd like to see. I sure hope that ESPN keeps this separate instead of bundling it with their other shows, because I don't watch ESPN at all, ever.
