I just saw the segment on RBs all the way up through 11. They had us ranked at 15. I'm not to sure how I feel about this because they had the Pats right ahead of us at #14. I don't think that Dillon is as good as Brown but I don't know. Well have to wait and see I guess. What do you guys think?

11-21

11. Steelers
12. Ravens
13. Broncos
14. Patriots
15. Dolphins
16. Vikings
17. Bears
18. Cardinals
19. Rams
20. Cowboys
21. Bills

he's only been in a year plus he's shared the load (to include college). so naturally, critics will be pessimistic. but after this season, he'll earn some respect and go up the ladder. either way, i could care less about what espn thinks about the fins.

on nfl.com, everybody thinks ronnie brown will have the most yards in the afc, i hope everyone voted

Any1 Else Watching This... Is It Just Me Or Did They Rank The Steelers Twice, At #11 And #8?

They are gradeing everyone's rb's as a team.Starters and backups. If we had a better backup we would be ranked higher.

i can see why people would say ronnie is unproven plus it is questionable who is at #2 and #3 so 15 makes sense to me....but
i would think the bears would be higher up, they have thomas jones, cedric benson, and adrian peterson, good 1,2,3 definitely even if TJ is having contract disputes

AFC EAsT that is.

If Ronnie stays healthy we'll do better than 15th in yards from backs, especially total yards (Ronnie had 32 rec. last year, you can expect atleast 50 this year.)

At this point the Patriots have a deeper depth chart at runningback most definately. Dillon, maroney and Faulk along with patrick pass. You could argue that the bears and cardinals should be ranked ahead of us especially the bears with Jones, benson and Mcpherson. At runningback we basically have Ronnie Brown and a bunch of players that no other team really wants.

Man, ranking running games seems like a tough job to do. It seems like everyone in the league has a strong running game these days.

I was thinking the same thing. I have been doing the sports nation ranking things and I get confused a lot. Every team I look at I see a running back and say "he's pretty good."

A lot of teams maybe, but how in the world are the Viks rated 16. Do they really think Chester Tayor is gonna be the next Barry Sanders. I mean I like the guy but talk about unproven. Add to it they just got one of the most pass happy HCs in the league and I really doubt he has a 1000 yards this year. Can't see how we are only one spot above those guys.
No big deal, but I just thought I would chime in with my 2 cents.

Good point about Childress being a pass happy guy. I really like what Chester Taylor did in his backup role in Baltimore and I think he will be very good some day. However, he doesn't bolster that lineup to make them a better running team than 16 teams. Good point my friend. I disagree with several of their rankings, but what do expect when you got Sean Salisbarry talking about football?

Corey Dillon is ijury prone and laurence maroney is a rookie that is questionable. the year Ricky retired our offensive line was terrible and Sammy Morris split carries with travis minor and got over 500 yds. I think having Ronnie and a revamped offensive line, miami will be way more effective in the run than new england. Not to mention the major upgrades miami has done at qb and receivers.

Dillon is? Please explain.

And, were you guys not high on Ronnie last year even though he was "a rookie that is questionable."?
