Espn Wide receiver rankings(dolphins dead last)

Ya know what else he's not? He's not in Jacksonville anymore. I'll give a little insight as to who Jacksonville's OC since you have no idea and because he's hardly "Air Coryell"!

Maybe you should read up on Dan Henning then lol.
In the dictionairy under conservative there is his picture.

and if we kept him his name would likely be in the #32 spot. He is a pretty good player who was in the perfect situation.

He went from being Miami's #1 receiver to New Englands #1.

We got great value for him, woo hooo AND WENT 1-15

I know we went 1-15 for various reasons but trying to validate the trade of Welker by saying he would have ranked #32 is LAME

With Welker and Chambers we would have been a better passing team, without both we might have ranked 32nd.

The point is we went through 2007 without a #1 receiver.

We traded or released too many starters which we are JUST NOW replacing in 2008.

We played without too many starter caliber players (TE Martin for McMichael, QB Green for Ferrote, WR Name a reciever for Welker, traded Chambers, released Kevin Carter, after Ronnie Brown went down we could have used Sammy Morris, we had a chance to pick up FA safety Ken Hamlin who had 5 picks last year and didn't, he should have made the probowl for Dallas) in 2007 and Welker is one we needed, it's part of the reason we went 1-15.

Welker never was, is, or will be a # 1 receiver. It's not even close. NE has a guy you might have heard of. I think his name is Randy something.

Maybe you should study BP, it will be his system we run!

Im pretty damn sure they did not bring in Dan Henning and do all the other things to have an all out air attack. All signs point to us running the ball alot at no less than a 50/50 clip although Henning has been quoted as preferring a 60/40 run split although he has not done it that I can remember. Anyone that knows football knows you bring in a coordinator that is going to run the style of offense you want. Henning is 66 years old , he is not all of a sudden going to change his approach to offense.

I find it funny for Jacksonville your bring up thier OC but then discount who our OC is and bring up parcells who has been far from pass happy. Parcells has ran differant offenses but with Henning you can expect 2 tightend sets, alot of running and some vertical passing.

I think you are misunderstanding me.....I'm not validating the trade of Welker (although I'm still fine with it). I just pointing out that despite the great numbers, it was the situation more than the player. He's a good player, and I like and respect him, but Tom Brady and Randy Moss provided the perfect environment for Welker to wreak havoc underneath and you wouldn't have seen him do anything close anywhere else (especially in Miami)

I have no idea how we are behind Chicago, when they have a cornerback as their #1 receiver

Well Im sure a chicago fan could reply you have a PR as your number one but the fact is Marty Booker and Brandon Loyd are thier starters. Booker was our top receiver last year. Definately not am awesome group but they also have Mark Bradley, Devin Hester and Rashied Davis. They also drafted a nice prospect in the third round in Earl bennet and also have Mike Hass who was drafted last year by New Orleans. Overall they have alot more viable nfl receivers than we do.

Henning is so conservative that between 2002 and 2005, the Carolina Panthers had 201 total passing plays of 20+ yards placing them 4th in the NFL over that time period.
In 2004 the Panthers finished 3rd in the NFL in total plays of 20+ yards with 60. Carolina achieved this without Steve Smith who missed almost the entire season with a knee injury.

He believes in running the ball, alot of double te sets and vertical passing. Does not mean he does not throw downfield. Henning has never emphasized a pass first offense. He has said himself he would like to ideally run 60/40 in his ideal offense. I would expect no less than a 55 run 45 mix this season. He was fired because his playcalling was considered too conservative even though the team went 8-8. He was also coordinator for Parcells in New York. Its not hard to figure from our personell, Parcells history and Henning''s history we will be a run first team. When Parcell had Bledsoe in NE of course he molded his team to his players as did Shula with Marino. At this point it would seem we dont have Marino or Bledsoe.

Wow Pretty Low Considering Ronnie Brown Is Gonna Catch More Passes This Year Than Eagles

Listen If Brown Can Stay Healthy And Williams Gives Us That Second Punch That Everyone Is Saying He Will, I Think We Can Compete With The Jags, Vikings, & Chargers On The Ground

Wow Pretty Low Considering Ronnie Brown Is Gonna Catch More Passes This Year Than Eagles

Surely you jest.

Brian Westbrook caught 90 passes last year which was like twice our leader.

Thier best receiver had 77 catches for 1110 yards
thier second best had 61 reception.

The eagles have a much better corp than we have.
