just saw on ESPN that they're gonna do a segment on how soon they think the Dolphins will get to possibly releasing Culpepper to make room for Green.

they siad greenmost likely will be a dolphins thus-fri right before the draft. then cpep will probably get cut after

That doesn't make sense. They don't have to release Culpepper to get Green. Not that they won't release him after they get Green, but they certainly don't need to do it.

Why would they cut/release Culpepper prior to June 1 no matter who is on the roster?

what is up with this yes trent green is a great player but he only has 2 years at the most on him just keep culpepper and groom quinn.

like i saed..il lbet 10.000 fin bucks to anbody..that Cpep will be on the roster, come the opening day.

To make a healthy cap space before signing rookies and rest of free agents, he's expected to be retained until June. According to actual rules, if we cut him after June cuts, it's incomes for the year goes count as is in the contract, otherwise we may distribute them in several years.
So IF GREEN COMES TO TEAM, C-Pepper still will have time to see something else of Miami.

Pepp's career is most likely over because of the injury. Its sad to say but he is not recovering fast enough. He probably needs another year to fully recover if he is even capable of fully recovering...

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but both Eric Allen and Floyd Reese stated they think DC is done, and I agree 100%.

In fact, Floyd Reese said he had no intention of trading for Culpepper when the opportunity arose when he was still with the Titans because of their concern over his knee, but went onto to also say that, "It doesn't take you 4-6 months to have your knee scoped, so there's something else there."

i.e. Culpepper is a bumbling dope and if you have a football IQ at least better than a chick you can see he has issues making quick decisions in the pocket. The same thing that is happening to Daunte happened to Cunningham, and the only person to blame in all of this is Saban for making a trade for the big ******.

And I think Fetta cheeze tastes better than Swiss.. Who cares what anyone states they think. Cam/Randy and the Fins Medical staff are the only ones in the decision making process, so only their opinions matter. BTW, your Cunningham analogy is a horrible one if your trying to say CPep is done. Cunningham became a quite capable pocket passer later in his career.

Once Cunningham's athletic ability declined he was no longer a capable passer...that is a fact.

As far as their "decision making process"...the decision has, apparently, already been made. Both Randy and Cam see that Daunte is not capable of running a Turner-style offense, regardless if his knee is healthy or not. As well, if you're a head coach or GM, and you're looking for a franchise QB, logic dictates you don't go with the guy who, apparently, has been rehabbing his knee for over a year, has a 45% winning percentage and 122 career TOs compared to 139 TDs.

If you want to be intellectually lazy and point to his 2004 year like every Culepepper apologist does then go ahead. I'll look at the fact that 3 out of their 4 receivers that year had a YAC of 10 yards or more, meaning he was only throwing high percentage, check down passes of 8 yards or less. This, of course, does not count the bombs he lofted up to Moss, which he learned to do with perfection from Jeff George.

As well, considering they went 8-8 in 2004, he was obviously throwing TDs when it didn't matter. Be thankful we're getting rid of the moron.

Then how do you explain the 1998 seasion, Cunninghams's 13th year in the league? Voted to the pro Bowl, he guided the Vikings to a 15-1 regular season record (tied for NFL best ever since the 16 season was initiated) with 34 touchdown passes and only 10 interceptions. Cunningham led the league with a 106.0 passer rating while the Vikings posted an NFL-record 556 points all season. At this point in his career, his scrambling ability was gone and he was purely a pocket passer. Are these the facts that you refer to?
If you feel Randy/Cam have already made a firm decision on CPep, post your link. Otherwise learn the difference between speculation and fact.

I think Daunte's career could be in jeporady as well as his tenure with the Dolphins. Cam doesn't really have a choice. Daunte is not healthy and hasn't been since coming to the fins last year. I would like to see the Dolphins trade up for the 2nd or 3rd pick and
get Brady Quinn, then bring in Trent Green
for next year. He would be a better mentor than Daunte in my opinion. Then try to trade Daunte and if not release him.
