Just read this and found it interesting:

Samuel

Free agent: CB Asante Samuel
Best fit: Miami Dolphins
Here's why: Bill Parcells could make a big splash by stealing one of the AFC East's best players. Miami desperately needs a veteran presence in its secondary, and acquiring Samuel, who has been part of so many successful seasons in New England, could be infectious in the locker room of a team that managed to win just one game a season ago. Samuel obviously will have many teams after his services, but Miami should get in the hunt for a difference-maker at cornerback to lead their struggling secondary.

Adams

Free agent: OT Flozell Adams
Best fit: Miami Dolphins
Here's why: Obviously Parcells and Tony Sparano are very familiar with Adams and adding an experienced left tackle from a winning organization could have a positive impact in the locker room. The Dolphins' offensive line isn't that far away and Adams would allow Miami to put Vernon Carey at right tackle. This would give the Dolphins two very solid bookends to team with second-year C Samson Satele to keep their quarterback -- whoever that may be -- upright and aid in the running game. This move makes a lot of sense, and with all the roster cuts Parcells has made, the Dolphins should have the cap room to make a splash. Adams has been to four of the past five Pro Bowls.

Hurray for Flozell, I'm not to sure about Samuel though...

I agree. Flozelle would give us a Pro Bowl LT and allow "Mt. Vernon" to go back to RT where he excelled in 2006. I've always wondered if Asante was a product of the Pats' system, but the guy did make plays. At the very least, he's better than anyone we have now and would be an upgrade if we get him, albeit a VERY expensive one.

Yes he would be super expensive (Samuel). I just don't see Parcells signing him a contract worth 10 million greens a year. That is quite a bit of money if you ask me.

I'll have to add on to everyone, Samuel is to much of a risk taker and we need someone to make an immediate impact...i.e. protecting our QB, whoever that may be

As much as I would hate for Miami to go after someone over 30 in FA, Adams is probably far and away the best available UFA OT. And even if one considers Samuel to be the best CB on the market, the difference between him and other UFA CBs is far less than between Adams and whoever (Starks?) would be considered the next best OT. EDIT: The only real difficulty I see is that Ireland and Sparano might be thinking of keeping Carey at LT and signing a RT instead.

I'm really starting to think Adams is a lock to come down here and I think we're going to pay up to get him. Not overpay per say, but just show him the money that he wants to come down and help shore up our OL. I know alot of people are throwing the "rebuilding" card, but you've got to have some solid vets to help along our young players of the same position, not to mention provide protection to help develop a young QB. I think he'll be a solid signing, despite the fact that his price tag will be inflated due to the market.

I'm also hoping we bring in J.Smiley.

I'd rather throw that Samuel money towards Alan Faneca. Faneca and Flozell.... we'd have a mean left side.

AS is what we need for too many reasons to list. We freed all that cap room to sign players like him so don't fool yourselves. He is only 27 and would sure up our starting CB's and let Lehan play the slot where he has his most produtivity and success. Adams sures up our line and leaves us with one wesk spot on the line and that is Guard. We could sign one cheap and pick one in the draft. Guards aren't as hard to develope as T's in the NFL. We need both and both would be brilliant moves and make our team dangerous next year.

You know what bothers me? Is we should have had flozell Adams in the draft a while back and we took that scrawny *** RB Avery. God I am pissed!

That makes abosolutely no sense to me. Faneca is looking for Hutchinson money so we would overpay for a spot that isn't hard to fill. And your draft is horrible IMO. Brandon Albert is the only one that makes sense and the best G in the draft won't be there in the late 1st to early 2nd.

I don't like the idea of makeshift LT's or playing the guessing game in the draft for this position.Big Flo is the solution.
