If i see one more post where someone says these guys are the future d-line and Saban has done a great job building it i will officially be certain that Dolphin fans are the dumbest in the league. Roth has done nothing in 2 years and the others have done even less, and the fact that most of them fell to the 7th round should tell you that. Just because they were drafted does not mean they are good or future starters. If that was the d-line next year, people will be in for a rude awakening. You see in football reality, you cant just act as if all your draft picks will automatically be starters.Do you really think evans, vickerson, wright and roth would be acceptable especially when you look at d-lines like chicago, NE, Carolina, Jacksonville etc.

Sorry had to blow off some steam

Roth does not belong on that list. He's actually played, and performed well. If you dont think so, well, you havent watched much more then the stats sheets. He consistently plays well vs. the run, and he consistently drives his defender back off the line of scrimmage. He's going to be a pretty damn good player when he gets more experience and more refined pass rush moves.

The others you are right on. Vickerson and Wright have not done a damn thing, and Evans has only looked good during preseason.

Ive seen Roth blowing up some OTs already this year you dont put NFL tackles on thier duff and not have something to build off. Its hard to take snaps from a player like KC and Roth has been getting more than a few snaps every game.

how do we know what evans, vick, wright or even roth has...there behind good players at there position

Roth is a bust

I would like to see Evans get some PT

Wright could be a steal

these other teams have spent high picks on DT's especially the Pats

Wanny left the cupboard bare so while the DL could use an impact player, so could the rest of the team

bet we grab one on the first day of the '07 draft

they really need a way to one star posters.

tonto how is roth a bust [edited]?

and bornslippy roth is playing backup behind the guy that is currently ranked 4th in sacks for currently playing players.

I guess phillip rivers was a bust cause he didnt do nothing 2 years behind drew brees?? [edited]

[mod] 2nd personal attack tonight - 1 week off - read the t.o.s. before you come back or next time it's permanent [/mod]

the packers whipped us with 3 rookie OL

if Roth wasn't a bust it was his best opportunity to show it

Vickerson needs to step up and show something by next season. It will be his 3rd year and it's time he's not just a guy who's along for the ride so to speak. Guys like Evans and Rod Wright need to step up in 2007 as well. What about Manny Wright?? Will he get his act together and rejoin the team for training camp next year?

The only one I don't seeing being good is Vickerson. R. Wright and Evans will be good. Roth is good. Do you expect him to start above Carter or Taylor? Do you expect Vickerson to start over Holliday? Evans over Traylor or Wilkenson?

four rookie DE's have more sacks than Carter and Roth combined

we can't get a pass rush without blitzing

glad some fools are happy

Roth is playing well, I'm not sure your gripe with him. With the others, there is probably at least one bust but I bet one of them pans out. With linemen you need to give them one or two years learning technique and gaining strength. Very few just come in and contribute out of the gate.

Guys like Rod Wright and Evans could be either our Defensive Tackle in our hybrid 4-3 defense or they coul dbe the left defensive end should Carter leave after this year.

Roth is the onlyone who plays and he has proven he can play at this level. next year he will be in his 3rd year a break out year. these other guys need some time they havent showed anything yet to prove it and they where 7th rounders so lets see in a few years please.
