Considering the coaching changes we have had the last 3 yrs, the young players have been moved diif positions or have liked or disliked by new or old coaches.

This year though these players drafted in the past 3 years know when coming to camp, know what positions they are competing for and the sytem in place and what is expected.

So considering there players drafted in the past 3 yrs, if the lights do come on we could have one heck of a defence next yr.

Just think we could have big years off....Solai, Merling, Langford, R wright, M Roth, Crowder and J Allen.

Also i think we could have big yrs off Ginn, Satele, D thom or S murphy, Bess and R Starks.

I hope so, but I've seen Parcells teams take a step back before going forward. I think we will be better, hopefully our record indicates that.

we could have a worse record, even with a better team.
we have a tougher schedule next year.
atleast thats what the pappers say.

i dont think our scheduel was TOO soft, this year.
we had 6 losses. one of them in the play off against the number 2 ranked defense.

1 against the cardinals who are headed to the super bowl
2 against the ravens who made it to the afc championship game
1 against the jets, who were leading our division untill farve blew it
1 against the patriots who tied our regular season record, and also went to the super bowl last year.
1 against the texans, who miami has yet to beat.

um, i like the optomism. Solia and Jason Allen are terrible, Allen in particular. I mean lets get real here. Hes had 3 different coaching staffs, and all 3 have deemed him not good enough to start. Notice a trend?

I agree there is a trend......but i also see a trend that we did not have consistent coaching. Everyone knows this kid has talent and isnt that what coaching is all about.........'putting the guys with talent in positions to make plays'.

Even Troy Polamalu and the late Sean Taylor were considered possible flops after their first year but the coaches adapted their systems to put them in positions which best suited them.

Rex Ryan's new def co-ord Mike Pettine said. "We've always been of the mind-set of you fit your system to the players, not the players to the system

very good point.. i never thought of it like that.. yes our coaching staff is here to stay and they know who they have

Those Texans grrr. . . we are cursed against them. .

Yeah we had six losses against good teams. We beat all of the bad teams that we played. I don't see how this team can go 11-5 again tomorrow.

Yeah our six losses came against good teams but none of our wins really came against good teams. The best that we can say about our schedule is that the teams that we played were competitive. We had one of the easiest schedules in the league and we only outscored our opponents by 28 points. I don't see how we can improve record rise next year.

We beat a good NE team on the road and we beat SD. We beat Denver on the road, which isnt easy, and SF which went 5-2 down the stretch. Our schedule was a little soft but winning any game in the NFL is a good feat.

Houston has been one of my most hated teams in the league outside of the AFC East.

The whole tougher schedule debate really is worthless. Besides the Steelers and Chargers, the other 14 games are identical to the rest of the AFC East. Also, it isn't like those other three teams get two cakewalks. The Pats have the Broncos and Ravens, the Jets have the Bengals and Raiders(Ok maybe that is a cakewalk) and the Bills have the Browns and Chiefs.

Maybe going 12-4 or 13-3 and getting a bye will be incredibly hard, but competing for another Division title is not going to be any harder then the other East teams. In fact, a 10-6 record may win the title.
