Observers of Sunday's game between the Dolphins and Falcons were left wondering how Greg Camarillo caught a ball that essentially landed between his legs.

And so was Camarillo.

"I have no idea," he said Monday night at the Jason Taylor Foundation event at Old Navy in Davie.

Camarillo conceded that he looked back at the official to ask for pass interference before he ever reached for the ball, thinking that he didn't have the ball. The catch certainly caught the attention of other athletes. Heat forward, and Dolphins fan, Udonis Haslem was also at Taylor's event.

"If that catch isn't catch of the year, man...." Haslem told Camarillo, before bemoaning the fact that it wasn't replayed on ESPN that night. "That was one of the best catches I've ever seen."

And it could have been a touchdown, if the officials hadn't blown the whistle, since no Falcon touched Camarillo on the ground.

"I didn't know what was going on," Camarillo said. "It was the (defensive line) that was standing right there on the sideline. They're the ones who told Coach to replay it. They're the ones who told me to run. Randy Starks told me on the plane that he was the one who told Coach. If they had asked me, I would have told them not to review it, that I don't think I got it."

LOL..great catch the game sure would have been different if he was able to score on that play

It's not the kind of play you look at and say, "that guy has mad skills." But it's the kind of play that makes you feel thankful you've got a smart and scrappy guy on your team who plays through the whistle and remembers all the little stuff he was taught in pop warner.

Doesn't matter that he doesn't know, only matters that he showed up and performed his job at the best of his ability.

I love Camarillo. Good things always happen when he is in our gameplan.

he was surrounded, if the whistle wasn't blown, he would have got laid out and.... another fumble

congrats on the win.....another 115 in a row and your team can reach .500 for their all-time record.

good luck making the playoffs for a second year in a row...for the first time in your history.

...and good luck posting a winning record for a second year in a row....for the first time in your history also.

wow...I guess I should thank you....never realised how truly PATHETIC of a franchise the Falcons were until you inspired me to look it up. And I thought the Jests were bad.

but hey...great job on the week 1 win...16-0 here you come!!!

Thanks Man! I sure hope that you guys can just look back at your history to comfort you while your PRESENT team crashes to the ground.

Having the hardest schedule in the NFL while having the worse offense will be an entertaining show.

It would get sweeter next year when you guys draft ANOTHER QB -- for the 3rd year in a row trying to save your team which will be on the bottom of this division, after even the bills sweep you.

BUT, HEY! you can look back 30 years and look at the best QB you ever had and act like he's still playing.
