....I've already got a pat answer for anyone who tries to give me crap about Miami having company in the undefeated season department.

Everyone remembers the name of the first man to step on the moon, or the first to set foot in America. How many can easily recall the second to do so? :dolphins:

Dolphins were the first and originals. Nice for somebody to finally be able to possibly do it.

The 70's Steelers and 80's Niners never did. I see them as being much better than this Colts team. They could go 16-0 and have the Patriots dump them in the playoffs.

you're comparing apples and oranges. The Colts would most definitely be in the 72 Phins class... and there isn't any way in hell that THIS YEAR'S NE team beats THIS YEAR'S colts... in indy.

The Dolphins did it in a 14 game season, pre-free agency.

Their opponents had a .328 combined winning percentage that year.

If the Colts do go undefeated, it will be much more impressive than what the Phins did way back in the stone ages.

Hey pats fan, go bark up a tree noone wants your pathetic troll comments here. Have a nice day.:)

This years Indy team is the best team I've seen for a long time. You CANNOT stop that offence. And they have great speed on defense, great inside tackles, 2 15+ sackers, 3 really good linebackers, an All Pro safety in Bob Sanders, Mike Doss, who's no slouch and a pair of underrated corners as well as the rook from Michigan, Marlin Jackson who's playing lights out, along with a 55 yard kicker and a superb punter.

Remeber though,

The '72 Dolphins were number 1 on offence and number 1 on D.

The Colts are 3 and 4 in those.

i'm with Boomer. I can't see anyone stopping the colts this year... every other team just has a major flaw.. indy is near perfect.

Funny, Bill Walsh said that this Indy team is better than the NE 3/4 SB Teams... Music to my ears.

As much as I hate to say it, if the Colts go undefeated and win the SB it will be more impresive than the fins undefeated season IMO. :(

ill give the Colts their due and say the are the best team ever, to go undefeated with a salary cap and FA. They deserve it

Nice to see that this board has some objective and realistic fans.

Again, if the Colts do run the table, it will be far more impressive than what the Phins did.

Not even close.

yea, ok, just bash us all you want..... whatever helps sooth the pain that the team that you used to own is going to run all over your monkey *** this postseason... If you're even lucky to get there and get out of the first round! :dolphins:

don't get a fat head just because some us might agree.

No offense to the 72 dolphins, but if the Colts do go undefeated people will forget about the 72 phins and not the 05 colts. What they are doing is more impressive from a non bias standpoint. I hate to say it, but it's true.

I'd like to see the record preserved, but its not a huge deal. I just wish it wasn't the Dolts (old division rivals) who are doing it.

ESPN mag said the 72 fins had a cup cake schedual, lets look at Indy's 2005 schedual.
