The last two weeks we have held two of the better offenses in the league to less than 13 points a game. All the credit in the world has been given to the wildcat, ronnie brown and so on but against San Diego and NE the keys to set up victory was the way our front seven stopped the run and rushed the passer. I still see the secondary's pass defense as a major liability but our front seven is making thier job much more livable. If our defense does not stop SD on 4th and 1 at the goal line, we would have probably be looking at a loss instead of a victory. We have controlled the ball with our strong oline play and short passing game but the defense stopped a charger team that averaged over 35 pts a game as well as a Pats team that is quite capable although banged up. This same defense got shredded by the Cardinals and have responded. Heres to some props to our defense .

Oh this D deserves tons of credit. They play as a single unit and have made huge strides in the last two games. I think they have a couple test in the next three weeks. This week we need to show up with the same intensity we played with in the lat two games. Then we get the Ravens our D has to match the intensity of the Ravens D we have to come out bashing skulls. And then we get the bills a hated rival so they have some tough matchups the next 3 weeks but i look for them to continue to develop and get even better

Really? I think the D has been getting lots of love on this board. Defensive love, in all but the most gross of circumstances is going to get an ammount of love inversely proportionate to offensive love. That goal line stance was HUGE and probably saved the game. I dont' remember a whole lot of goal line stands in this teams history.

:woot:go defense its your birthday go defense its your birthday:woot:

people forget how good the 2002 defense was because our offense wasted thier effort late in the year.

Here's where I agree with you dlockz. Defense has definitely responded to the thrashing they got in AZ.

The D has gotten it's fair share of love. There's even a thread about giving it a nickname.

I dont agree that they are giving the props they deserve when in relation to all the other reasonings for our victories. Holding the Pats to 13 points and the Chargers to 13 points are great performances.

"Even on this board"

I think the majority of us here give props to the defense for the great work they're doing.

this board being a fan board always seem to go overboard in props and in relation to other threads I have seen a small percentage giving props to the defense while there are 50 Ronnie Brown is the best ever threads.

It's easier to invest emotionally in one player than an entire unit. It's to be expected.

I see quite a bit of props being given to our defense all over the board. You may be too busy leading the pitchfork -carrying mob against Ronnie Brown to actually notice......
