Even without Ben, Pittsburgh is still a good team, so let's not under estimate them.

Personally I dont think they are going to be a very good team this year WITH Ben

Remember the game changing pass in the superbowl? It was a trick play, they dont have that threat anymore, along with no #2 WR, a decent secondary, and no kick returner anymore.....Parker doesnt seem like an every down back to me either dont get me wrong he could be untill proven otherwise, but I dont think so

Sorry but the Steelers are going to have trouble scoring.Batch stinks,he is going to get sacked alot.

Now Alex44 are you speaking from the heart or are you being real. Remember Pittsburgh is playing at home. Our secondary is still suspect and we haven't proved anything yet.

Unless you are a player or a coach go ahead and underestimate them all day long, it doesn't really matter.

Thank you , I always have to comment when I see these threads where a fan is legitimately concerned that the way the miami fanbase looks at the competition will have an effect on the team playing them. I really don't think our opinion of the Steelers with charlie batch is part of the team's pre game studies and preparations.

true they are still a good team, but they're not a great team. Look how poorly the Steelers played last year when Ben was out.

living in pittsburgh im one to tell you batch isn't that bad of a quarterback he can still pass theball fairly well not as good as ben but still throws a pretty nice ball, if ward has to sit out becasue of his hamstring i think that makes this team a one dimentional team having to rely on the run more so lets hope that our linebackers and D line gets good penetration and a good push against the steelers line and don't give parker space to run he will make something if he has space

so in saying that our keys to winning are force them to pass and cause turnovers and don't turn the ball over and give them good field position

Randle El threw 5 passes all of last year, three that were over 10 yards,so its not like trick plays were why they won week after week.

Parker did have over 1200 yards last year.

Only one team allowed fewer passing touchdowns defensively than the Steelers last year.

Steelers fans heard the same thing from opposing fans last year.

Ben would have a sophomore slump after his outstanding rookie year. All the times that was brought out over and over again.

Who would make up for Plaxico Burress' catches?

Could Kendall Simmons step back in at right guard after missing the 2004 season?

Could Max Starks replace Oliver Ross at right tackle?

Could the unproven Parker get it done at running back with Jerome Bettis and Duce Staley hurt?

All those questions were asked to no end and answered. This year the same thing is going on.

Bill Cowher has a proven track record and i don't think Saban views the Steelers as lightly as most Fin fans. He has a lot more intelligence than that.

Ben makes the steeler machine go as much as Brady makes the pats machine go they are pretty pedestrian on Offense with Ben so I don't know what they are going to do with out him. they will proly look like us during the Wany years. Run left, run right, pitch, sweep, then punt.

On the other side their D is pretty stout.
