Even Zaslow thinks the fans are over reacting..

Ok, lets be serious. Orton is still better than Moore. Orton is seriously considered a starter on most any team he goes to, yet if we dropped Moore he would NOT be. He would be hard pressed to be a starter just about anywhere. The guy did good for us but end of year stats or not do you really think he would he would be starting somewhere else? I don't.

Moore is a solid back up and nothing more. We HAVE to address this position and quickly.

Yeah he does, he's one of you ppl.

Never understood the whining, moaning, hating approach to being a fan myself. But to each their own.
Never understood the complacent, mediocre-loving, whining about whining approach to being a fan myself, but to each their own. Get over yourself.

I agree, but the difference between the two is slim. Certainly not what was about to be spent on him (thank god that was killed). Moore has a higher ceiling, whereas Orton has hit his. Teams know what they are getting in Orton. A transitional starter. Someone to keep them moderately competitive until they can get a true starter.

The nice thing about Moore is that there's less risk of the FO becoming complacent at the QB position and there's that extremely slight chance that Moore can develop into a true starter. Having Moore makes me feel better about drafting one of the developmental QBs this year. Because of the rookie salary cap, there's no need to force the issue. If neither Moore nor the rookie show much progress, next year's QB class is pretty deep.

Matt Moore will have to play like an all-pro for 2-3 seasons to get any league respect. I would say that the Philbin led Miami Dolphins are his best chance to increase his stock in the NFL. If he has any more upside, Philbin will bring it out of him. I think he will play well for us.

Going forward, we have to find elite talent to groom as his replacement. I am tired with the lack of talent we have had over the years. I had no expectation of good play from Matt Moore. He has surprised me and I am comfortable with him leading the team until someone better comes along. I think we can win playoff games with him. Right now, I will take that.

Consistently losing team, questionable decisions, inexperienced and overly conservative GM leading the whole thing. Lets throw a parade.

Most of these "fans" demand nothing less than an instant championship. Grasping at straws and ignoring logical reasoning. I have just sat back and shook my head at the knee-jerking going on. Actually, my neck hurts from doing it so much. Every team in it's history has had its' share of tough years. Some more than others. And yes, it's deflating and difficult to endure. Especially when we've had a rival team such as the Pats do so well in the same era we are faltering through.
I am also an Angels fan. I've gone through it with them as well over the past 35 years. Seen the horrid years and wondered when will it ever change? Eventually it did and it seems to just get better (signing Pujols & CJ Wilson).
I think the "protest" was over the top. Fans are also riding the media and their wave of insults and drama. They hate the Dolphins and always have had negative things to say about our So. Florida team. Who gives a SHHH what they say or think? I sure don't. This is my team and I love 'em. Things will get better. We made very impressive progress last half of the season. We will need a true #1 QB no doubt. But Moore and Gerrard both have starting experience, not the long term answer but I for one am excited to build a "young" contender through the draft. Retreads and health risk players are just bandages and IMO, are just that, way too risky and detrimental to this process.

You can take that "instant" championship line and shove it somewhere. I'm 33 years old and never seen a dolphins super bowl win. You act like we won 3 years ago or something.

I demand to win at least 1 super bowl every 30 years.... IS THAT TOO MUCH TO EXPECT!?
