When you watch this organization play ever single season, there may be different players and coaches, but it feels as if your watching the same exact season of a television show. NOTHING ever changes. It's not just the defense -- it is the offense, the coaching, the play-calling, the game-planning, and the lack of in-game adjustments. As a Miami Dolphin fan, how much more can you take of this crap? I just can not watch another Miami Dolphin football anymore with this current front office regime and coaching staff in place. This whole organization just needs to be blown up. Ross continues to rely on football people who have no f*cking clue what they are doing. Ross (assuming he actually gives a ****) needs to hire new people ASAP and they need blow up this roster and start from scratch. If not, this organization is like watching car stuck in a ditch, going absolutely nowhere.

I was just thinking the same thing about groundhog day...

OPTION A (Years 2+ of a new regime in Miami)
- Get off to a decent start to the season
- Then 2nd quarter swoon to f*** things up
- Then pick it up to stay just out of the playoff picture but close enough to reel you back in with false hope
- Be in contention for wildcard... until we get eliminated vs some team with a losing record in week 15 or 16
- Final record 7-9 or 8-8

OPTION B (usually the year with great (false) hope, but where the coach gets fired after the wheels fall off)
- Start out trash
- Stay trash until week 6 or 7
- Win a few games
- Return to trash
- Final record 5-11 or 6-10

It’s the same problems ever year.

Shoddy O-line play and relying on aged injury prone FAs

No future at QB

Still can’t find a decent 2nd CB

No linebackers really worth a damn

No TEs

Paper thin depth.

No pass rush.

Busts drafted left and right.

Can’t stop TEs

can’t stop the run.

Yes..

Pretty much all of the above.

What frustrates me is the 4 man rushes and nobody even comes close to creating pressure. And when they do blitz, it is telegraphed so badly that the offense easily picks it up.

No wonder the coaching staff thinks the offensive line is ok. Because the Dolphins defensive line can't get pressure on anybody -- even in practice!

I get so tired of seeing some fat@$$ journeyman lineman getting trucked or run past immediately after the snap. And on the other side, the oppositions QB stands in the pocket with impunity. On the rare occasions when the defense actually gets near the QB, they can't tackle a fly.

8 more games of this non-sense.

It won't ever change - I honestly believe that in my heart. I'm trying to give it up and do something productive with all the hours I waste on this cursed franchise.

I could have cured cancer or taught a blind child to read with the time I've wasted on this team. World peace? Could've solved that too.. The rest of the season it's gonna be occasional glances at the scores. I'm actually thankful they aren't making me believe in them, keeping me engaged until future disappointment. Thanks Fins, we know who you are.

Not for this child.

Far better I concentrate on hunting and fondly remember the Dolphins. Not this current crop of garbage. The REAL Miami Dolphins.

It's because of the same schemes. Different coach, same schemes. Soft upfront on both sides. Since they can't figure the team out upfront, they neglect other positions while they use all their resources on soft lineman and overpaid injury prone band aids.

And they also had no long term option at QB to groom and compete with Tannehill in case it didn't work out.

Overall, it's a soft team.

They are ALWAYS soft. I remember a analyst ex player saying around the league amongst players
that the dolphins are yearly known as a very soft team. I also wish I would have spent the 1000's of hours wasted watching them on something productive.

Think what could’ve been accomplished. You may have just given me a reason to quit watching this annual train wreck.

I love the Dolphins. I do. Why? I’m stupid. I can’t and won’t quit them. It may pay off at some point. Watch, in 40 years they’ll win but I’ll be near 80 years old and blind/deaf/senile so I won’t really know what’s happening.

**** all of our lives once more.

Doing the same things but expecting different results is insanity.

Agree...groundhog day personified.

Would love us to have the balls to do what the Raiders organisation is now doing and gutting that from team top to bottom with the intention of coming back better & stronger for the future rather than trying to put plasters over this team year after year and simply achieving mediocrity.

Even with the great start to the season, lets be honest guys those wins were't really dominating performances where you could say we have a good chance to go toe to toe with say the Rams, Chiefs or even Pats who are classed as strong teams expected to make the playoffs. The Dolphins havn't fallen under this category for years and show no signs of getting to this level.

Of course none of the above will happen, as realistically players are playing for their livelihoods and I'm sure we'll pick up a few wins here and there until the end of the season , miss out on the lottery of the playoffs, Ross will pat Gase & T-Hill on the back and say next year is our year and the mediocrity cycle continues.

Uhm, for many of us it has been 40 PLUS YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!! This team has sucked my enthusiasm right out of me. I went to bed last night at halftime (14-10). Did I miss anything? :bang:
