everybody's a critic

Actually, BP calls me on a regular basis to give me updates on what they think of players, so I'm in the loop. I spend a lot of time loading player profiles into Madden and then running simulations. I report back to BP on what I find. I am an integral part of the process. Please do not lump me in with the knuckle heads who do nothing to help the organization.

Sorry man, I can't do this anymore. It is actually me acting like I am Bill Parcells. I feel bad.

I don't think we act like we know everything. We basically just comment on different issues regarding the team, some positive some negative. Although we aren't coaches / scouts / or employed by any of the NFL teams, we do have football knowledge, and do know quite a bit about these players. We're not just throwing darts....

I mean everybody has their opinion and they have a right to say what they want, but to be all gloom and doom or ecstatic about who we do or don't sign is silly.

In one sentence you said it's cool / alright to have an opinion, and in the next you say that it's silly to have one....:confused: You sound silly....

Nobody here knows more about the players than the dolphins front office.

That's not always true. I'm sure there are quite a few members here who are equally capable of judging talent as those individuals in the front office....

They actually go out and scout the players and watch game film and talk to the other coaches of other teams and they are still wrong half the time.

When you use the word "scout", it's basically another word for "watch". The fans can scout / watch players too. The fans can also watch film in case you didn't know that either...

As far as being wrong half the time, everyone makes mistakes from time to time. If we didn't, we wouldn't be human...:up:

so how can anybody here that probably barely knows who these players are be experts.

Again, you went from one extreme to another. The scouts went from being "wrong half the time", to being "experts". Again, you sound silly...

I agree with the original poster. This is a message board, we shouldn't be doing silly things like talking about the Dolphins, discussing moves and pontificating about the skillset of various players.

No, we should all just sit around looking at our computer screens waiting to fart. Even now, I am violating my own policy of not posting.

Say it ain't so...no, it really is Bill, he said so...he sent me a picture and everything...I legally changed the name of my son in honor of him...no...I won't believe it!
 
need to think out a post: read the other posts first & maybe do a little research before you venture an opinion. need to try to stick to the thread or open a new one appropriate to the subject you're interested in rather than muck up a thread.
Forums are very much about the number of quality posts they consistently produce. banter & homer-ism require legitimate discourse to balance the score or the board becomes a chaotic mess

I support the 1st Amendment, but come to the Forum to gain a better understanding of all things concerning our beloved team.

i agree that people on here go too nutts. i wouldnt care if they debated things but SO MANY PEOPLE ON HERE get so pissed when somone who isnt the most talked about gets signed at all. what the hell do ppl want??? This isnt the MLB and we aren't the Yankees, and it never worked for them either...so get over it. we are building, talk about how the new ppl will fit into the roster, in what packages we'll see them, etc etc stop worrying about who is great and who is bad, and most of all stop calling ppl who have been proven starters in this leaque "sub par" and "horrible" or "not good enough" just becaue they arent hyped up...i think we've made some great, solid and consistent roster moves that will sure up our team. thats what we need. If you havn't checked, we have a few celebs on our team already..

I personally come her because I am able to share my passion for pastries and swap recipes. I didnt even realize the Miami Dolphins were a topic
