Any Ideas who might slip to later rounds or do we grab an impact TE in round 2-3 ?? What's everyone thoughts.

Tom Santi and Johnathan Stupar would be great late round steals IMO. If we go high I like Carlson or the Texas A&M guy? Santi and Stupar was 2 of the nations top TE recruits coming out of HS and produced every time they got the chance. They made some of the best catches I've ever seen and don't drop nothing. Santi had a great pro-day highlighted by running a 4.6 forty. Since Parcells ad Groh are so close I'm sure he has some inside info on them.

IMO we can get a solid TE in the fourth, Martin Rucker or John Carlson.

no i dont think we need a pass catching te, we need a blocking and catching TE. a solid te is a lot more valuable then another "reciever" type te.

I'd like to see us get a Ben Cotes, Antino Gates, or Eric Green kinda TE thats well rounded that can block as much a threat in the red zone and who has enough speed to split the seem.

after watching the combine,I think we can all agree that JerMichael Finley(6'5",240+) really opened our eyes,I wont mind MIA taking him in the 3rd round....IMO he is one of the top pass catching TE's in the draft...

i would like to see fred davis as our starting TE..but i have a feeling it won't happen..

however we will draft a TE for sure this year...

I agree. I think we should grab Martin Rucker in the 4th round. This guy had 84 catches and led the nation in receptions per game (6.0) among tight ends. He also had 8 tds. He was a stud for Mizzou last year and put up pretty decent numbers his junior year as well. I think we need to address our secondary issues with one of the two picks in the 2nd round.

I would trade a later round selection for Joe Klopfenstein (Rams).

i think all the hype surrouding fed davis is just that hype..they player we should draft at the tight end position should be martin rucker from missouri..this guy is a beats and will be a great pro tight end

Kellen Davis from MSU should be our guy IMO. Hes almost 6'7, weighs 262, and ran a sub 4.6 forty. I bet will be a better NFL player than a NCAA player because MSU didnt really use a TE until later on this year. He plays TE and DE too which makes him versatile. He mentioned on a radio interview that he has met with the Dolphins several times so far and that he would love to play for them because he already lives down there. Reminds me of Kellen Winslow (obviously not as good) but his body type is similiar.
