Hey guys do you hear anyone complaining about Romeo Crennel being 2-4 with a similar talent lacking Browns squad right now?

As it is right now we have to play very efficiently with the lack of talent in order to win. It's that simple. We played perfectly against Denver and to expect that to last all season while certainly a hope, probably wasn't gonna be the case. Belichick went 5-11 his first year in New England...so let's just take it easy for a second.

i just want saban to admit that gus has played bad and stop placing blame on everyone else except gus.

Why is this so inportant to you...Saban knows what he is doing. Nearly every post I have seen from you have you leading the charge for Gus to be replaced by Sage.....A change of QB might help us if we had Manning coming off the bench, but Sage....no. Give the coach some time......PLEASE.

If the coach starts playing the blame game it just looks bad, do you want to give the Bills fans that sort of satisfaction? Imagine the headlines if he played the blame game...

Saban will get us back on top it will take time

Take the time to listen to his press conferences. He has sad that he isnt happy with Gus's performance, and he stated Gus himself isnt happy with his own play.

Being unhappy, doesnt mean that Saban believes Gus is the sole reason, nor does it mean that Gus still isnt the best QB on the team to run the offense.

What you want to hear is strickly Saban saying "Gus Stinks and I was reading the FinHeaven board and since Death7Star evaluates talent and knows my scheme better than I do, its time for a change at QB so Gus you're fired!"

sr66 I believe the point is that for as badly as the QB has played<saban seems to have the attitude that gus is being affected by other guys around him,When it is obvious that he doesnt want to come right out and say gus is NOT a very accurate passer and if that accuracy doesnt improve we will make a change. Also whoever said that the cleveland fans are not bitching about being bottom fodder again are insane ...I live near cleveland and it is not pretty for them.Since most of the rational fans have agreed that this is more of a rebuilding/finding the players he wants year, having said that why not switch things up?Whats to lose if this is a rebuilding year? And just how long of a leash do you give a QB who has knocked himself out of the only starting job he has ever had, then proceeded to really not be heard from again till he starts for us some 7 yrs later? 6 games? 8 games?10? 12? I really dont think that gus is going to turn it around..but my opinion would be two more games max ,if this continues and gus doesnt perform much better, then i will also be jumping on the Saban is a wanny clone talk.

Saban needs to do a better job of preparing the QB position for the NFL season. His 1st string QB is not getting the job done. And he is not comfortable with his 2nd string. So what does he do now.

There's a fine line between ripping a player and playing the blame game, and constantly saying "he's doing fine" and "no problems here", when everyone knows it's BS. Fans want to know that a coach really understands the problems (even if there is not an easy solution), just to know that the coach really "gets it". This is part of what drove people crazy about Wanny and Speilman - they just seemed clueless (Fiedler is just as good as Trent Green...Eddie Moore is a great 2nd round pick, he'll be a special team star...etc).

I would like Saban to acknowledge the poor QB play as well. Constantly completing <50% of your passes is not acceptable. It bugs me that Saban suggests it's the rest of the offense's problem, even when Gus keeps overthrowing open guys. I don't know that going with Sage or Lemon would be any better, though.

He has.. repeatedly.. Unless you want him to come out and say GUS SUCKS...
I'm sorry... you do this in every thread. And it shows you aren't knowledgeable about football.. but in the bigger picture sports.. and human resources in the workplace

NO COACH.. NO MANAGER of a business of anykind will call people out in public. It lacks character, leadership, maturity, and the ability to motivate your personnel to work hard for you.
So stop your very tired "I HATE GUS" garbage. We ARE ALL DISAPPOINTED IN HIS PLAY>> NOT ONLY YOU. Really think about what you're saying. Because it's not going to happen. FYI Saban has berated just about every aspect of this team. Offense to Defense, effort to discipline, to maturity. Just because he doesn't say it in black and white laymans terms doesn't mean the message isn't being translated.

Sounds good to me.....

It would be nice if people could simply embrace the fact that Saban is another coach in the NFL that has yet to really prove anything. He, like the rest of this team, is still learning and making adjustments. In this process, he is sure to make some mistakes, and when he does, he shouldn't be above criticism for it. On the other hand, it should be quite obvious to everyone that he at least has a plan of action and a serious amount of focus, which immediately earns him more respect and patience than Wanny deserved.

As fans, I think we would all do well to keep a realistic view of Saban. At this point, it means there is room for reasonable criticism (Saban sucks is NOT reasonable), and room for plenty of optimism as well. The homer vs. blind pessimist threads just make both sides look foolish.

In Saban's defense if everyone else was playing better then Gus would be looking a lot better.
