Sorry man, but the D makes 70% of the money and gave up a record number of yards to the Texans. The O played like crap, but if you're going to point fingers at which squad stunk worse, just take a look at the Texans O ranking for week 1. Also, the Texans D was decent last season, so it's understandable that they would do ok against our O. Their O however was HORRENDOUS last season, so our D should have been all over it.

Looking outside the box, what if our defense isn't that good?
Breakdown:

Seau: anything left in the tank? Speed issues...

Knight: too slow & missed tackles

Fletcher: not a very good CB

Zach: Seau clone, only smaller (subpar tackling)

Greenwood: Who is this?

Marion: Tackling has been subpar lately

Ogunleye: wouldn't start anywhere else

Chester: one trick pony...no pass rush

Bowens: same as above


The only two people starting on our defense who I don't wonder about are Taylor and Surtain.

Taylor: Best player on defense
Surtain: excellent tactician who will tackle

You could also flip the coin on everyone but Greenwood and Fletcher. Let's not just start criticizing guys who have been here forever and we know can play. They had a BAAAAAAAAAAAAD game, it happens.

Not saying the D didn't take part in the lose.....but I really REALLY thought our O could atleast hold on to the ball for 5 min. It just seems everyone is blaming everything on the D.

The o Did the same thing it did in THE NE Game. Pass when they should of ran the ball, and why would you call in out pattern to stop the clock with a lead and 5 minutes left in the game? It was bad coaching. Things will turn around this next game though!

oh god, were back to the 3 and out in NE... dude, Jay put a floater right into Wards hands, we are talking about a pss that 10 year old kids make 9 times out of 10.

Ward catches that pass, and Wanny and Norv look like geniouses for calling that play against a stacked line that would have yielded no yards to Ricky. Instead Ward drops the easy ball and suddenly the playcalling sucked?

Sorry, but it was the right call at the time last year, but if the guys on the field don't make the play, it doesn't matter how good the call was.
