This thread is not being created to trash Wake. Truth be told the kid is a future star in this league the guy can do it all to get to the QB even bull rush. The way he bends is amazing and he needs to be in there on all passing downs. But Miami might also have another rising star, his name is Reggie Torbor. You see this year Torbor has 28 tackles 1 sack 1 INT & my favorite stat 4 pass denfended. That is only 3 tackles less than JT.

JT who has 4 pass defended and 1 INT just like Torbor. For a guy who does not start and is plugged in he has done an excellent job. I seriously think Miami needs to use him more, he is always around the ball & I think is a playmaker something Miami does not have in Crowder or Akin.

If he is not gonna start atleast keep rotating him in there with Akin, and I noticed something in the Jacksonville game I had not seen all season. Akin was playing ST Torbor is a ST player, I dont know if Akin has been benched, but he was not seen alot in the game. The other thing I notice was Akin playing OLB.

I would like to see more of torbor also, the play where mjd blew by akin was all you need to know about him, im not bashing him just hes to slow and is a stop gap type player that makes a few plays but not nearly enough.

If the organization is worried of Akin not being able to stop fast RB, then I expect a heavy dose of Torbor on Sunday. If they are not gonna start him then rotate him, While his first year in a 3-4 was not good his second year is looking very promising as is Starks. With the contract he was given he shoul dbe starting ahead of Akin. The one thing Torbor has is the guy is a difference maker and real good against the pass. Something we have lacked.

Akin had like 2 QB pressure. Man We did some nice organized MLB Blitz thats what I hope our D can start doing get creative. that sack from Tobor was incredible the guy came out of nowhere at 100 miles an hour to get Garrard in the floor. u know Crowder was in at least 5 or 6 tackles (kinda late) but most of the tackles were granted to the D linemen who were playing hott. and later in the game Garrard just threw the ball and they barely ran it and when it comes to coverage u know Crowder has issues.

Torbor, Ayodele, crowder, porter, taylor, et al...

I just want someone that is going to show up more than every other week or so. I don't care if one guys last name was "harry" and along-side of him was "scrotum".

Just show up, play and for gods sake cover a tight end and hit the right gaps at least every other play.

Either that or fire the linebackers coach. Somebody sucks here pretty bad.

We need an ILB and an OLB this off-season. The linebacker is as big of a need as the WR's in my opinion. Hopefully Torbor builds on this and gives us more production than Crowder/Ayodele have this season.

i kinda feel that the Torbor/Ayodele situation is similar to Wake.. Replace Torbor with Ayodele on passing downs but Ayodele is better at shedding blocks and getting to the RB.. hes the bigger, more physical dude.. Torbor, on the other hand is faster and better in coverage but when it comes to running downs, he gets beat down by blockers

Torbor had two tackles for a loss in Jville, how does that make him poor at shedding blocks.

Really? Are you going to base how effective someone is after 1 game? That is the problem with half of the fanbase on here. A guy has ONE game where he does something and he isn't that bad. Let's forget about what was done over the span of a season or two.

I am not saying torbor is bad but making that analogy is like saying crowder is good because he had a game winning interception. The sun shines on a dogs *** every now and then too...
