Damon Huard is looking real good in KC and Sage threw 3 TDs yesterday off the bench. And the Dolphins Qb's cant get their Roll on. I know Daunte is hurt and Joey, well he is being Joey. Wanny was never a good talent evaluator and he never had the patience to let Huard evolve, instead he fell in love with Fiedler. Last year i wish we would have given Sage more of a chance, but Saban thought it was more important to go down with a winning record his first season and let Gus start the whole season. Wanny and Saban have both shown something in common: they dont let the QB evolve.

It just sucks we have a QB with all the talent in the world who can't use it, cause he is hurt and now we are stuck with Joey (Im looking like Feely ) Harrington.....Ohhh Danny Boy how we all will miss you.

Huard = AJ Feeley with the Eagles

hope we don't trade a 2nd for him

Rosenfels played against the Titans.
Huard has a good team around him.

Both are nothing more than back ups.

he is doing good because the people around him are also playing good. hmmmmmmmm maybe if we played good around are qb's hmmmmmmmm just maybe...............................?

Perhaps they have receivers that don't drop every other pass, an OL that can give them more than 1/2 a second to throw the ball, and an OC that can put together a gameplan and make halftime adjustments. You know, the things we don't have in Miami.

Sounds about right.

i knew dumb *** threads like this were gonna happen. Huard played well for us - but he's a back for a reason - just like EVERY backup in the league - they can't cut it for a whole year. it's spot duty.

And Harrington isn't playing that badly for us. 4 picks he's thrown weren't his fault - they bounced off hands of our supposedly pro bowl caliber players! harrington is playing admirably, it's not his fault our stupid *** OC is calling 62 passes in one game! He did well for what he was asked to do

You're right. People have been raving for years about how much talent that Texans team has.

the thing with Huard is if Huard is only a backup as you say the Chiefs will rush Green in as soon as they can which should be in a week or two. If Green remains on the bench then you know that the coaching staff doesnt consider Huard a backup
It seems to me he's one of these guys we've seen lately (Trent Green anybody) that spent a long time on the bench learning the game and finally got to the point where he's an effective starter. Its still too early to say for sure but if he continues I think he's elevated himself towards starters status

The team is hot right now - that's a chemistry issue. Remember when gannon took the chiefs to the playoffs in KC and then Marty started Grbac and they lost in the first round? Bad callbecause it screwed up the chemistry of the team. I for one wouldn't throw Green back in there. The Chiefs are playing well, go with what works. It's a fine line, but in this instance, stay with what's working. But, next year, assuming Trent is still there, it's his job again.

Different teams different OL different WR's. Huard has a good OL and a top-flite RB/TE. But somehow he wins regardless and has more rings than Daunte and Joey, of course as a backup but still. Sage has future star in Andre Johnson, a somewhat upgraded OL, good offensive playcalling, and he still threw a pick. Also, Griese led his Tampa to a 5-1 record last year and won their only games the year before under bad OL. He would've been an upgrade over Fiedler had Fiedler not have one good game at Dallas and poof we get AJ Feeley in the offseason. Save for Ray Lucas, they've all had good post-Fins careers.

Funny you mention Feeley because Harrington came from the same offensive system.

This is exactly the point I was trying to make the other day. Players come to miami and play like **** then thay leave miami and end up starting somewhere else. Why cant we have the same production on these players that they have elsewhere? Is it becuase the coaching staff? Is it becuase they come to South florida and assume a relax state of mind? What can it be? Even Sam Madison has already as much INT as our whole defense has!!!!
It pisses me off!!!!!!:fire: :fire:
