The Vickings traded a 4th for ex Dolphins QB Rosenfels, from the Texans. just FYI.

sage has done really well as a backup for the texans, matt isn't the most durable quarterback.

Good move for him. Has a great chance at winning the starting job there.

I always liked sage and would have loved to have kept him here, Damon also but I think in a full time roll he takes an awful lot of chances with the rock.

Sage was/is a great career backup QB, but he's just one of those guys that just isn't a great #1 QB that you need to lead you all season. Living up here in Min, I keep seeing the Vikings making one great move followed by one stupid move every year. Drafting Peterson turned out to be a great choice. But then thinking T Jackson was starter material for several years . . stupid. Getting J. Allen was a great move. Not solidifying your LB corps behind him . . . dumb. Now again this year they are going to let Birk walk and now to think that Sage is going to be your savior at QB ????? Oh yeah, they have R. Spielman as their GM.
