Ex-Trail Blazer Porter angling to buy team

Former Portland Trail Blazers guard Terry Porter has added some financial muscle in his effort to buy his old club.

Jeld-Wen Inc., one of the country's largest door-and-window makers, agreed to join Porter's investor group. The Klamath Falls-based company previously denied having any interest in owning the team, but it recently came on board, Rob Kremer, who has been working with Porter to line up local investors, told The Oregonian newspaper.

A Jeld-Wen spokeswoman confirmed the company's interest but declined to comment further, the newspaper reported in its Thursday editions.

Wow I didn't know Terry Porter had that kind of bling bling. I remember the Trailblazers when they beat my Sixers for the NBA Title in 1977.....Bill Walton, Maurice Lucas, Twardzik, Gross, Lionel Hollins.....every game was a sell out in Portland...and now they are a joke. I heard another big problem in Portland is the issue over buying the arena they play in. Hopefully the Blazers can trun it around...the team started going downhill when punks like Rasheed Wallace ruined the team and then bailed on them.
