Not wanting to get into a discussion about this sportscaster, this writer that but all these guys making picks for the NFL Network (all chose the Panthers) show what these types really are and what they should be viewed as. Nothing more than entertainers themselves. They are all up on the easy story and make the pick with little regard for the real things that are important. This game is not over, but how in the world can you pick against that D line. The D line that beats Tom Brady in Super Bowls. Yeah the Giants are missing a few players on O, but there lines are legit on both sides. I thought it was just easy reporting to take Cam and run. If these guys were professionals that cared about analysis more than the easy popular story they should have been discussing how the Panthers would beat that line Vs how the line was going to have a hard time with Newton.

Sure they played the game, but now they are paid to entertain for an hour and a half before the game on Thursday night. And just because they did play the game means little. All the respect for the knowledge and abilities within the game, but they are just like the media in any field. Go with the flashy story, and deal with as little substance as possible. For an example. If it was the Jets playing the tonight instead of the Panthers you can bet there would have been more about Tebow than that Giants line. And that is sad. Not saying it is bad business, but it is what it is.

Panthers actually made a lot of sense if you think about it. This is a short week and the Giants are on the road with a lot of players out. Very little time to prepare after travel days, etc. Panthers were at home this past Sunday so they get more rest. There's a lot working against the Giants this evening.

OP has a point though. Yea, there were things working for the Panthers.... short week, road game for the Giants, a lot of injuries etc etc. Howevah.... just as you said... the Panthers are a very average team. In fact they are less than average. The Giants on the other hand are world champs. I did notice Rich Eisen of all people... the one who didnt play in the nfl, point out after all those clowns took the Panthers he said watch out that Eli always comes up big when people are counting him out and their backs are to the wall. Again, thats because ELI IS ELITE.

I hear the OP though. Cam Newton is a huge hype machine when the fact is he blows. You could play this game on an even shorter week, take away a couple more Giants starters, and play it on the ****ing moon. Newton still couldnt bust the bubbles on Eli's piss.

And Deion Sanders is annoying as hell with that "Caaaaammmm. Whoooaaa Caaaammmm" Bull****. He needs to stop that. Take Cam's dick out of your mouth Deion. Cam Newton is a ****ing bust. One good statistical season. Carolina didnt win **** last year anyway. They never will win **** with Cam Newton as their QB. The league will catch up to his ass and he wont be able to make adjustments. Just a matter of time before every DC in the league will own him.
