1) Injuries.

Stop telling me we lost our starting QB. Chad Henne is our starting QB. You could make a strong argument the team is BETTER with Henne as the QB as opposed to Pennington. So dont give me that weak ****. Also stop telling me we lost our starting RB. Again, you can make a REAL STRONG argument that Ricky is the better back. While of course that dosent mean it helps that Ronnie was injured(2 good backs are better than 1) but, its not as if that injury crippled our rushing attack.

The rest of the injuries....sure. W.Allen was a tough loss. So was Ferguson. But, he has only been out ONE GAME! And his loss in no way contributed to us BLOWING that game yesterday.

On top of all of that, EVERY team has injuries.

These are bs excuses for the performance yesterday. We had enough players and talent to beat the Bills. We were simply outcoached by a guy coaching in his 2nd game as HC. If this were a one time event, it wouldnt be a huge deal. But, this is the 3rd game that was directlly lost by the coaching staff this season. Thats a disgrace.

2) We went 11-5 last season after a 1-15 year. We play a tough schedule this season you cant expect us to win 11 again.....

BS. First of all, Im aware we won more games than we shouldve last season. Yes, we did play a very weak schedule. However, that dosent give everyone a "pass" this season. We arent free to go 8-8 based off last seasons turn around.

I never expected this team to win the super bowl this season. Im not holding them to some ridiculous expectation. What I did expect was the team to COMPETE. By compete I mean NOT BE MATHEMATICALLY ELIMINATED until all regular season games are played. Really, thats my expectation EVERY YEAR. I dont think its too much to ask.

And while I realize our schedule was brutal this season, the reality is if the team IMPROVES from last season, they should be able to win near the same amount of games they won vs. a weak schedule. I was expecting at least 9, if not 10 wins. Again, if you IMPROVE from last season, that should be accomplished.

On top of that, reality is we GAVE games away that we shouldve won. We had the Colts and Saints beaten. We outplayed both teams and lost due to poor game management by the coaching staff. In a game in which you DO NOT PUNT, DO NOT TURN THE BALL OVER, keep the ball for 45 minutes, to only score 23 points and LOSE is an absolute disgrace.

Sure Ginn shouldve caught that pass and we win. But, that game like so many others was piss poorly managed in the 4th qtr.

Meantime our coach gets fired up because we kick a FG with just under 4 minutes left to take a 3 point lead, when it was obvious to anyone watching 3 points was just enough for us to lose in the end. Bottom line is not only did we need a TD there, but we couldve scored one with an attempt to do so. Handing the ball off on 3rd and 6 when your QB is notorious for converting those situations and had already done so 3 times on that drive was utterly stupid. That 3 minute drill effort when getting the ball back down 4 points was beyond stupid as well.

Lastly, for those of you wanting to give Sparano all the credit for last years impressive feat....Get real. That was Chad Pennington at his finest. We won 11 games because we played a bunch of mediocre-bad football teams and Pennington simply didnt turn the ball over against them.

You must also realize that team that went 1-15 was actually a lot more talented than the record indicated. If you want to talk about injuries, we lost our only decent QB that year and had to play guys who are 3rd stringers on their best day as starters. Thats a BIG DIFFERENCE. Is Lemon even in the league right now? Beck wont be much longer either. Notice in those first 5 games with Green, we werent good, but at least we were competative in those games. So that team was really a lot better than the 1-15 mark indicated.

We also lost Ronnie that season too. Only difference was that time we had no elite back to complement him like we do this season. There was no Ricky to carry the load in his absence.

So get real on the Sparano did some miraculous job last season and deserves a pass this year. The bottom line is we are losing games directly because of our coaching staff this season. This team is talented enough to get in the playoffs, even with a tough schedule. We simply arent going because we have morons managing the games.

We do lack talent at WR and LB. We are young and inexperienced at QB and CB. But, we are strong upfront on both sides of the LOS. And we have one of the best RBs in the league.

We are losing games to teams we have more talent than. We are losing games we should win, but didnt because we are getting outcoached, out adjusted, out managed, and out smarted.

You can spin it however you like, but Sparano blows.

:ponder: Hmmm. Seems like the same things you've been saying for the past week. Was there really a need to post them again? Don't we already have enough of these posts?

I know one thing, if and when this team has enough talent to be a true contender, i do not want Tony Sparano calling the shots on game day.

Man u are on a roll ! This place is becoming unbearable after losses. Maybe its the 50 stupid *** post about stuff that makes no sense.

.....I'm at a loss for words with the ignorance of people.

Phantom, you do realize that Henning calls the plays on offense and PP calls the defensive plays don't you? What "shots" is Sporano calling on gameday?!

God damn, FH has been taken over by retards.

Exactly what I said weeks ago. Which is why it would be wise to can Sparano after this season so that when the team is championship ready from a talent standpoint in 2011, it will be a 2nd full season with the coaching staff.

I fear the day we ever get the talent to win it all and watch it go up in flames because Sparano is a boob. He could easily butcher a playoff game and cost us a world title.

Threads im sick of seeing:

1) People absolutely losing their mind and randomly cursing and screaming in a internet rage over a lost game.

2) People having ADD memories and forgetting just how sad things were around here a few years ago.

3) Making new threads about things people, original poster included, have already stated multiple times in multiple other threads.

4) People expecting that a single season, or two off seasons, would be enough to completely turn things around and become a powerhouse yearly playoff contending team. Ask the 2007 Browns how that works.

5) People insisting injuries dont matter. Ask the Steelers if injuries matter after last nights game. Your emphasis on Ferg being out only one game and how it didnt contribute is amusing, as the results of yesterday should point out just how glaring a lose he is and how it directly contributed to the tide of the game. Fred Jackson having 73 yards, 2 td's, and a 4.9 avg, absolutely shredded us at key moments certainly contributed to our lose.
Loved the threads about people thinking Ronnie Brown being injuried was a good thing. Anyone else see how gased Rickey was by the third quarter?
Not to mention the injuries to the offensive line protecting our QB. If it recall correctly the 3 picks he threw involved him getting hit as he released or the ball getting tipped as the pocket collapsed. Which brings me to my next point.

6) People wanting to bench Chad Henne. 7 games of good, solid, play and in 1 game people turn on him. 14 starting quarterbacks, thats how many weve gone through since Marino retired, and you really want to open that door again just because a guy in his 8th start threw some picks, while under pressure and throwing to a who's who of receivers no less, against a very good pass defense team? Sad.

7) People demanding Sparano's head. This guy was handed a monster of a mess and told to fix it. Despite that, he's kept us competative every single week. The Bills didnt "blow us out" until the final 3 minutes of that game, where instead of running out the clock they decided to run up the score. Granted, we shouldnt have fallen apart, nor should we have completely loss momentum by trying that absurd pass by Ricky at the beginning of the game. Yet, as everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong(from injuries to teams that looked dead suddenly rising from the grave and becoming threats: see Tennessee), hes kept us on track and fighting.
Game management techniques can be adjusted and corrected, and Sparano has the drive and passion to do just that. Firing him the minute he loses a game will not help this team.
Also notice how i didnt see any threads demanding Sparano sucked after we had a 11-5 season....funny how quickly people will turn on others. Suppose that goes back to my point 2.

Im probably missing some more threads, but those are the ones that immediately annoy me.

Tony Sparano is responsible for taking timeouts though, correct? In the Tampa Bay game, he calls a timeout at the end of the game with like 17 secs left, instead of letting it run down to 3 and kicking the winning fg on the last play. This allowed the Bucs to not only have time for a kick return, but then throw a hail mary. To me, I can allow a HC to make a mistake now and then, but he needs to learn from his mistakes. Sparano mismanaged the clock against the Saints, and apparently hasnt learned from that. Im beginning to think he's more of a cheerleader and motivator, not really a HC.

You also forgot the fact that we could easily be 1-10 right now. The only legit win we got this year was the first Bills game. Both Jets games, the Carolina game and the Buccs game all came down to the end. Sparano doesnt make all the best decisions but even the great Bill Belichick makes a boneheaded decision now and again. Stability is the key imo.

All I know is a new head coach pretty much means a new scheme. What coach would be willing to come in and just go with the status quo instead of having his own offense and defenses installed? That means another two years minimum for our guys to get adjusted to another regime. Is that what we really want AGAIN?!?!

Sparano has mande some bone head calls this year, but hell, no one complained last year. He IS still a rookie head coach. Game management is something you learn with experience and he will pick it up. Coacking up players is something that a guy has or not and Sparano has it. Every game (except for this past game and the Bucs preseason game) Sparano has his players ready to go and playing hard.

I think a change in OC and DC us needed at the end of the season. PP and DH are not getting it done anymore. They rarely make adjustments to the playcalling and that is their job. Most very good teams have exceptional DC and OC. Look at some of the greatest teams, the Pats, the Steelers, the Colts. They have had very good OC and DC over the years. Having good OC and DC makes a Head Coaches job that much easier. There are a lot of things to keep your eye on as a HC and Sparano has done a very good job thus far.

Next year will tell us a lot more about how this regime will really perform. There will have been enough turnover and installment of philosophies to tell what we can really expect. I swear, do you guys really think another change in regime is the way to go? I mean hell, have we not learned something from the HC shuffle since Shula retired? I guess not.

One a side note, as bad as we are we are still not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, so till then try to take the number of rant posts down a notch.

There's no excuse for going from an 11 win team to a losing season. Unless that 11 win team was an anomaly and just the product of a super easy schedule, in which case, Sparano isn't the messiah people seem to think he is.

Agree....most people around here have put just about everyone involved on too high of a pedestal from the start...Parcells...Ireland...Sparano...Jack Long...Chad Pennington...Chad Henne...etc..etc..etc...

Last year was about a last place schedule....Tom Brady being out for the season....sneaking up on teams with the Wildcrutch.....and Chad Pennington having his finest as a pro......not because Sparano was the next coming of Vince Lombardi...

Without Pennington....this season happens last year....which would've been fine with me from the start as long as Henne was getting experience...I was never impressed with the meaningless division crown and first round playoff thumping anyway because I knew it was misleading...

In Bold -- :lol2:  Good one.

We went 11-5 last year because we played mistake free and had a much weaker schedule than this season. If the team is only improved slightly (partially because we have essentially a rookie QB and rookie corners starting) with a harder schedule....is it that much of a reach to believe this team would slide back? The answer is no if you understand football even slighlty. Of course too many ignorant fans here to understand that.

Its still a process IMO...and its gonna take another off-season and draft or two to be a true contender for years to come. Keep in mind the development of Henne is a process as well.

Relax guys all is well in Dolphinland. There is no need to worry, we are making great halftime adjustments, we have great clock mgt, a stellar 2 min offense. How dare we question flaws in the Trifecta?!?!?
