Key reasons to the loss....

1) 38 rushing attemts 148 yards and a 3.8 avg vs 18 for 38 and a 2.1 avg.

so much for that FRONT 4 talk u guys did ntn but BRAGG about just B/C we have a awesome crew that makes sacks doesnt take away teh 120+ yards rushign we gave up last year. How incredible it is wehre ppl forget to look at the big picture of things but see it only in black adn white and what they watn to see.

2) batch, 15 for 25, DC, 18 for 37. he had at least 6 passes that hit the players shoe and 3 over thrown by about 10 yards, wasn't sure if it was a wrong route or he just tossed it up. so can't say nethin on that til it is clear.

3) PENALTIES, 1 for 10 Pitts, 6 for 63 miami. good job miami :) HA! plz.

4) 3rd down, 5 for 13 miami and 7 for 15 Pitts. nuff said.

5) Time of possession, 24:33 to 35:27 pitts again.

So the KEY AREAS IN A football game were not executed and taking advantage of. Thats the reason to our loss so dont give me no bs DC sucks, RB sucks crap. Have a nice day ya'll.

I've watched that play over and over again....Daunte whpped that ball out there at about 100 miles and hour....CC barely had enough time to see it, he closed his hands around the ball but it had already gone through them....Daunte's got to take a little off that throw and take an extra click before he throws it....yeah, it hit his hands but, there was more to it than just Chambers not catching the ball. That was a Nolan Ryan heater right there...

yea def too much heat on that one and the one where he almost threw an INT in the endzone to CC, it woulda been a TD if he had waited an extra Sec cuz CC had FULL box out on taylor in the endzone but he threw a lob instead .

Daunte looked unconfortable and rushed his throws all night. I hope that goes away but, it sure smacks of what is always being said about him from Minny fans and the like...that and not being able to read coverages.....saw both of those things last night....I was not encouraged by our QB play.

Good Posts, Losing the Time of possession battle and lack of a running game will beat you almost every time.

Infinsible, I also agree about the quality of QB play, but I also wasn't impressed with the effort given by the recievers early in the game. I did love Welker's effort and Heart and Hagan caught the only thing thrown his way, but Chambers almost looked disinterested until it was too late.

I watched Dan throw heaters that recievers failed to catch until they got used to the speed of the ball and got their heads around faster and expected the fast ball. After that timing becomes more in tune as the season progresses, look out!

In the meantime, don't fault a QB known for his fastball for hitting your clutch WR in the hands in the ENDZONE! Their guy caught his with our DB draped all over him. Chris needs to hang on when the chance is there....

Anyone thinking this was all just going to click during game 1 was kidding yourselves. It will take some time and then be a thing of beauty.

Also, don't be fooled into thinking this was only because it was Pittsburgh. This is the NFL!! Everyone can play, the team that believes the most and steps up and TAKES the game will win on most weekends!!
